After charging for several hours, the charging light does not turn green. Is it broken?

Mine does not turn green after charging for hours. All functions work except for this. Should I return for a replacement?

is it bright enough at night and at the same time dim enough to not disturb other one who is sleeping in the same bed?

My husband calls my lamp on the nightstand "the sun." His description is what led me to find a product that would not disturb his sleep. This item fit the bill. He has told me several times it is focused enough that he isn't bothered by it. In fact, he wants me to order one for him.

Does this light interfere with your melatonin?

You can switch from a bright light to a more subtle light if you want to relax more so you get tired. I cannot give you a definite answer how, or if, it will interfere with your melatonin. That will depend on your sleep habits, how much melatonin you take, when you take it, what your activities have been before you're going to sleep, etc. The only thing I can tell you is that there are various brightness levels of light to help you get to sleep so you're not doing something with a bright light which would keep you awake. I have the regular purple and you hold the button down til it blinks and that sets the timer. Not all have a timer but mine does. And it's for 30 minutes
