Monique Lhuillier: Dreaming of Fashion and Glamour

Purchased this as a gift and she went nuclear after seeing it! She had wanted the book and couldn’t find it. Also she really began liking this designer and this book was a hit!It arrived safely and when she opened it, it was beautiful! The fashion, the art, the photography is incredible! Highly recommended!

This is a big, heavy, coffee table book full of pictures of gorgeous gowns on gorgeous women. However, that's all it is. ML gives a very brief statement at the front of each chapter and a few captions here and there, but she doesn't go into detail about anything—her process, her history, her business, her workrooms, anything. I'd love to see a series of photos showing a gown going from sketch to toile to finished garment, but we don't get that. It's all glamor shots of models, actresses, and celebrities looking lovely in their Lhullier gowns. Very beautiful, but not informative in any way.
