You can place your plates or bowls on these and use them in the microwave. They stay cool enough to handle with your bare hands. I use them when I take stuff out of the microwave, like hot bowls of stew or soup. They are amazing and have an amazing price for what they do. They are machine washable. I hang mine to dry. I have had mine for a long time. I bought this set to give as a gift.

These are perfect for hot bowls that just came out of the microwave and comfortably sit and eat a bowl of soup or chili while it’s still hot! I’m not sure how I went so long without these.

I use these with tempered glass bowls to heat up soups, stews, leftovers etc. in the microwave. Easy to use, put the food in the bowl, the bowl in the hot pad and nuke it! Hold the hot food and bowl in your had without getting burned :-)
