How do these accessaries work with the cable box?

After putting the adapter in cable management box, you can put the wires in the opening on the side of the box, and then tie all the wires with the ties, which can prevent the wires from getting messy. About the clips: you can stick the clips on the desktop, the commonly used wires can be placed on the clips, which helps you organize them. Please check out our video.

Is the cover placed directly on top of the cable management box?

No. We have designed two clasps on either side of the cable management box to ensure that the power strip and cables are safely locked inside, away from children and pets.

Is there a ridge of some kind around the inside of the bottom or top, assuring that they fit together and the top doesn’t drop into the box?

Yep it fits together with the top having an inset ridge that sets neatly into top of box. Very sturdy. Love how neat it looks!
