good value
Overall 4 / 5 stars. I'd say that the value is good, price comparable with most other brands (seems as if they are all from the same Chinese manufacturer). Saved quite a bit compared with a professional gauge set. I've used the set once to diagnose a car a/c issue and then recharge with refrigerant. Can not judge gauge accuracy as I have nothing to compare against.Pros: gauges easy to read, knobs on the connection ports (where you connect to the vehicle) are metal. 4th port and valve - assume for connecting a vacuum line and keeping it connected while still being able to charge refrigerant.Cons: Knobs on the valve set at the gauges are plastic. The plastic case - basically junk good luck getting your gauges and all lines(hoses) back in there after the first use, what do you expect for $70. Biggest con: the o-ring seals at connection points between the lines and the gauge set are a hard white plastic. The lines when hand tightened as they should be loosen VERY easily, more than once while shaking the refrig can the connection loosened venting refrig- real pain in the rear. I am convinced this is because of the cheap hard plastic o-ring seals. Tightening with a pliers (which you should not have to do) kept them tight but at the expense of permanent damage to the hard plastic o-ring, rendering them not reusable after taking off the lines and putting them away. I had read the same complaint in other reviews and did not know just how important that point was. I have had to order a set of rubber orings, so another $11 to get this thing to seal as it should when hand-tightening the line connections. I recommend you replace the white hard oring seals prior to first use with rubber oring seals.

Hoses are worthless
I used the guages one time after buying the kit. Put everything back in the case, put it one a shelf in the shop. Less than a year later went to use it and both the low and high pressure hoses leaked so now I have to invest in another set of hoses.

Really pleased. Nothing of the actual build materials were flawed. Sloppy case, wish it came with a r134a can tap included.
Did the job. Worked pretty good. I wish it came with a r134a can tap, but at least this kit comes with a threaded adapter to hook up to a can tap. No leaks, no damage.I wish a few more pennies were spent on the case and hose management... its a bit sloppy and there are concerns about transport doing damage to the threaded fittings and gauges. I had my low pressure quick connect fitting bouncing around in my case when it arrived. there is some extra room for additional adapters and fittings. I will likely soak up any slack in the case with a few shop towels so everything stays where it belongs. I also wish there was a second end cap for the vac line like the addition line has over the bleed valve (mostly for a partial recharge)

Good for the price!
This product was as to be expected for the price. It is not yellow jackets quality but it is also not $150. The set worked good no issues with leaking or guage reading. The set is made by stark. I purchased a cheaper set made by them and returned due to leaks on guage and wouldn't hold a vacuum. This set gas an aluminum manifold and seems sturdier than the brass set. Used on my 3ton split unit and my son's car worked great. It is good set for personal use.

Not too happy
I bought this for my husband and the first time he used it... Worked perfect. When he used it last night the red hose for the auto ac popped right off and the valve no longer opens and closes. All the hoses become lose when in idle. He lost the whole can of freon forms customers vehicle. If we can get it replaced that would be appreciated.
