Great product
Easy to use and figure out. The #'s do not disappear quickly. You can read it in dark places. Batteries last long. Inexpensive!

One issue... why is it so dim?
Great tool, if you have never used one. Get it. Don't question me, order it.If you have owned one of these, this one is fairly accurate for construction, but you'll be constantly going into the shade to read the output. For a tool made to be used for fast measuring, outdoors - you cannot read the screen outside.And no, I'm not old, nor are my eyes impaired.

NO NEED TO CHARGE
This tool is always ready to use, because it can work with dry alkaline AA cells. The display is not readable in the sun

Great value. Works great except hard to read in bright sunlight.
Measures and reads easily inside or not in full sunlight. Need sun shield to read meter in bright sun. Does great job otherwise. Glad I purchased it. Like angle functions. Like deviation from reference measurements. Like dynamic reading capability. Impressive device. I recommend it. Does not read to brick or similar surfaces. Appears to not work through glass. Very capable device. Expect to get long accurate service measuring distances requiring indirect or complicated distances. Have not used with tripod but expect awsome results. Will use hood to use in bright sunlight. Expect great results.

Works as advertised - decent value for the price and build quality
I have other Huepar products and have been pretty satisfied with them. The build is better than average and the features are similar to much higher priced manufacturers. I am an advanced DIY'r and do various projects. It seems that with reasonable care it should hold up well. I do feel that there should be a case included. Most other similar tools come with a zip case, hard case or at least a protective sleeve.

The screen cant not be read at all during the day.Easy to use for basic measurements, but mode changes are difficultI am returning it because it is useless
