LOCK & LOCK Rectangular Water Tight Food Container (15 oz)

Pro: As described! I use this smaller 15 oz. size a lot for those small cans like diced olives and Ortega diced green chilies I use in recipes. They are great for portion control of cashews and other nuts because they are crunchy to eat as a snack but high in calories. I have used them for when I have just enough leftovers for me to enjoy a single serving for the next day instead of finishing up the dish just so I can wash the pan or pot when I cook up re-fried black beans and ground turkey. It helps me keep and maintain my hard won weight loss and saves me money, too. I'm retired now, but they would work great for taking your snack or condiments to work with you, or even when you are taking a long drive and it keeps you from getting hungry so you can avoid those fast food places. Nuts are perfect for that one and healthier. Good size for your children's lunches, too.Con: They stack neatly, but they don't nest inside each other unless you store them in one of the larger sizes like I do. However, they are small enough to tuck into a drawer, or under the electric stove oven if you have one of those older models with the metal drawer under it. I have one of those in my small apartment and even though the oven drawer gets pretty warm, these are able to handle that without warping or melting issues. Great price for six of them, but they are also available for one at a time. Recommended!

Good size for leftovers. Keeps food with tight lids. Only drawback is that they are not stackable.

Cooking for one is difficult. I like homemade vegetable soup and it's impossible or two expensive to make. I saw these and bought some to freeze soups, chili,ground ham or chicken(for sandwiches). Eack one will hold enough for one big bowl or 2 smaller ones. If you drop one, don't worry, it won't pop open. Quality at a great price.

the size listed is not the actual size of item. wanted to fit 4 sticks of butter in it. no way..... was able to put a bag of dried cranberries in it. a small bag. love lock n lock. have more than 100 of them. use them for rice, dried beans, sugarS, gluten free flourS. And more.

We have had various sizes of Lock and Lock storage containers for about 5 years now and we love the one size lid fits several different capacity L&Ls. When we ordered these, we were disappointed to discover they DO NOT nest inside each other. Our original L&Ls were tapered and nested inside each other so they took up much less room. These do NOT nest! Because of that, I gave only 4 stars but we love the brand over all, just disappointed in the non-tapered design.

The one I just ordered does seem just a teense thinner material than the same exact box I've had for several years. But it still works! I have put a loaf of homemade bread in this box without any plastic wrap whatsoever, and it stays soft and fresh. It also seems to last longer before any signs of mold (my homemade bread has no preservatives) which tells me it must be reasonably airtight also because with humidity, it kept very well. I don't put mine in the dishwasher regularly, but I have on occasion and no problems. I'm a big fan of Lock and Lock containers in general and recommend them as the only ones that seem to really keep things fresh. (A naked loaf of homemade bread for days is a real test!)

No leak

I had been searching for bowls with the lock top that help around two cups for months... and these are exactly what I was looking for. They work great, the one and only problem I have is not much storage space and they don't stack for storage but everything else is perfect.

I love these containers. Perfect size for a single serving and handle freezing without a problem. Seal well. As a long-time user of all sizes of these, the only concern that I would mention is that the container lids have fastening flaps that will detach (break) if moved to the limit when frozen or cycled repeatedly beyond their normal range of movement when attached to the container. Also note, that these containers are dishwasher safe and do not collect water in the seals (like competitors) that drip when removed from the dishwasher.

Make sure you look carefully at the measurements. It's ok for a really small snack

Perfect size for a good portion of bircher muesli and yogurt for breakfast at work.Have used for many months on my cycle and public transport commute with no leaks.Seem to survive regular trips through the dishwasher.We've bought more as this is a good size for leftovers / lunch at work the next day.
