Will this allow me to use my lenovo usb-c power adapter to power a lenovo usb-c dock gen 2 which has a slim-tip power input?

I am afraid it can not work on your mind. The lenovo usb-c power adapter comes with a USB C male, this cable is USB C male to lenovo slim-tip. You'd better use it with a universal PD charger.

Does it work with Legion Y740, which needs a 230w adapter?

I have a Legion 7i with the same 230W requirements but this only worked when the device was asleep or turned off. This was with a 100 W brick as well which is the max you can get right now. So don’t get this if you’re trying to charge and use the laptop at the same time

Is there a longer version?

Sorry，TASUMATO have only developed the 6.5FT (1.8M) version now, and will consider making an increased length version in the future.
