Strapless A-line Embroidered Taffeta Prom Dress

The dress arrived a day earlier than expected. It was in a small box a little bigger than a shoe box. The dress was folded neatly and inside out, inside 2 sealed plastic bags. It had no foul odor about it. It was slightly wrinkled but that’s to be expected with something folded up. I was worried about fit and quality since the price was so low, but it was really nice and if it were at a department store, could easily sell for twice as much or more. The color was almost exactly as the picture, dark blue with the shine of material leaning more toward dark purple than royal blue. It was an exact 6. If you are at all worried about size being small, I would get the next size up. The lace up back is pretty adjustable. The person wearing it is 5 feet tall and a normal weight with a B cup. It was snug around ribs but not too much. She wore a hoop skirt under it and it reached the floor. There were no loose threads and it was sewn straight as far as I could tell. It stays up around the chest and has an elastic strap with bra clip sewn into the back. My daughter only tried it on and has yet to wear it out of the house so I don’t know how it will hold up, but again for the price, perfect.

Wow, this dress is the best! We looked all over two malls and also ordered a couple other dresses online. This dress is very flattering and excellent quality, and hands down is our favorite. It is even prettier in person. The embroidery looked white online but it is actually silver. My daughter is 5'0", 125 lbs, bust 36B, and we ordered the size 6, which is her normal dress size. The size charts suggested an 8 according to her bust and waist measurement, but her hips were a 6. The chart showed the size 6 as being two inches shorter in length than the 8, which was another plus due to her height. Because the back laces up, there is some flexibility and I'm glad we didn't get the 8. We plan on purchasing a petticoat although it looks fine without one. The dress will have to be shortened, and we were concerned that the shortening might cut into the embroidery, but that is not the case. The dress can be shortened 7 inches without cutting into the embroidery. I think it will need to have about 3 or 4 inches taken off the bottom, assuming the petticoat takes up an inch or two and a 2-3 inch heeled shoe. Hope these measurements help someone else!

This dress is stunning, or at least it was. The fit was perfect and it looked amazing! But there were a lot of creases so I took it to the cleaners to be pressed. It came back with black stains and the flower accents were falling apart. Apparently the petals were glued instead of being stitched and the glue splattered and stained the dress. I never got to wear it to my daughter’s wedding, the tags were still on it. Unfortunately the return window was closed so no refund and the dry cleaners say it’s a dress defect so they didn’t pay either. Now I’m looking for another dress.

I am glad I ordered ahead of time because I had to send it back a few times bc based on reviews I was afraid it would be too small. I normally wear a women's 4 and ended up with an 8 in this and honestly I could have gone down to a 6 safely. Plenty of wiggle room since it just laces up in the back and if you lace it too tight you can't see the beautiful lacing! Gorgeous, well made dress. Pretty sure the beading is handstitched. I had no problem returning and ordering new sizes. Everything was processed quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend putting a petticoat or hoop skirt under it if you want it full and fluffy like the pics. I used a hoop skirt. Pics included. I hope this helps!

My niece looked beautiful in the dress but it had some stains inside the dress and had no time to send it back before prom other then that loves the dress and fast shipping

I ordered this dress for my daughter's prom this year. It did not look exactly like the picture, but it was still very pretty and she was very happy with it. We ordered her size according to the measurements, it fit perfect in the chest area but a bit big around the waist. Not sure if that was because of her waist size or the dress. All in all it was a great bargain and a pretty dress.

This dress is beautiful and well made. For the price its unbelievable however was a couple sizes too small. I normally wear a 18 and this was so tight there was a huge gap in the back and the tie wouldn't lace to the top. I was able to just cover up the back and make it work though. The chest was loose on me but im smaller chested than most size 18s so that wasn't a suprise.

I bought this for my Mardi Grad ball and I love it!! Tried it on and fits great. The dress is as described and seen in the online picture. Very good quality. I'm definitely going to get it hemmed but I'm a shirt girl and knew I would need to do that. I'm very happy with the dress and great price!!
