Water in Battery Compartment
The battery compartment is at the bottom of the toy; the part that submerges into the water. After two uses, the batteries were soaked rendering the toy completely useless; the water had seeped into the battery compartment. Yes, the screws were all the way in and tight. If there is intent in having this last beyond one use, then it’s really poorly designed.

Stops working after 3 weeks
Bought as a Christmas present for our 9 month old. Did ok at first. Had to change the batteries after just a week and a half but now even with brand new batteries it doesn’t work or barely tricked water out the top but not enough pressure to make it spray at all. Also doesn’t light up at all anymore and it’s only been like 3 weeks. Not worth the money and I think based on the day I bought it I can’t return it now.

Fun and easy bath play
This is a cute little whale that lights up and sprays water out of the top. The lights change colors and the spray is a very light spray. This toy can be a little loud obviously with it sucking up water to spray out the top. This has frightened my young toddler so definitely takes some getting used to, I wish it were not so noisy. It is an adorable toy. I love that it is rechargeable and doesn’t constantly need new batteries.

Crappy toy that won’t last over a month and is potentially dangerous for your child.
I’ll give them a positive, it’s a cool concept and my son loved the little time he got of it it but this toy is potentially dangerous and has a major design flaw.I followed the directions. We took the toy out of the water and made sure to drain it out and wipe it off before storing it after bath time. After 1 month of use it started shorting out and running even when it was out of the water. My husband opened the battery compartment and we found rust. We know we closed the toy correctly so theres definitely a design error in keeping the water out of the battery compartment and could be potentially very dangerous for your child. My son loved it when it worked but his safety is more important than the short term joy it brought. I’m very disappointed that we wasted our money on this.

Disappointing
When this arrived , my 3yo grandson was thrilled. We put batteries in and tested it in the sink. It was great!!! UNTIL it was time to clean up. The toy would not turn off, it just kept trying to suction water. I had to remove the batteries to shut it off. I allowed it to dry overnight and put it back together... it still ran when out of the water. My grandson begged to play with it, so for a while, we just removed the batteries when we took it out of the water. This became very frustrating for everyone. We ended up throwing this toy out.
