Great alternative to regular pancakes
I have purchased other King Arthur products in the past, including other Keto/Low Carb mixes like their Pizza Dough (which is pretty decent, but not the best). I will say that this wheat pancake mix from King Arthur is one of the best I've tried for sure in the low carb/low cal options!Honestly, you could serve this up to anyone as a regular "wheat pancake", and they'd probably agree that it tastes pretty darn good. Blind taste test I doubt you could pick this one as a "keto" or "low carb" version of a pancake.I followed the directions for the regular pancake mix, which was 1 cup mix to 1/2 cup water. I like that they have some alternatives for thicker pancakes (eggs/oil) or waffle mix. When cooking these, it recommends medium heat, I'd go a little lower, as my pancakes cooked super fast. I also used a little butter in the pan to give it an extra kick. When done, the pancakes were a very pleasant slight crisp on the outside, and a fluffy, moist thick interior, much like a regular pancake. I was worried these would be dry or have an off taste, but no issues there - these are excellent. I'd even consider buying this pancake mix as "regular" pancakes, due to the added health benefits of having a low calorie, high fiber wheat pancake, just 80 calories per 1/3 cup of mix. I also trust King Arthur to have quality ingredients from previous items I have purchased from them. This mix just listed 10 basic ingredients (Wheat starch, wheat gluten, 2 low carb sweeteners, oil, egg, egg white, baking powder, flavor and salt). The value for the money is worth it for me, at about $1.5-2 for a plate of pancakes for breakfast while trying to eat healthy... you will be very hard-pressed to find a better value! I'll definitely be ordering this mix again.

A must have for low carb
After going low carb this was the third pancake mix I tried. This is the only one that passed and now my favorite mix. I like it with a egg, almond milk, olive oil or coconut oil, real vanilla and a little stevia sugar (it helps it brown more). I like that I can mix up a cup of mix to make 2 large waffles or 6 pancakes. The mix is a little lumpy so it does take a little bit of effort to get it smooth. Sometimes it takes a little less or more almond milk depending on the day. The pancakes get a nice crisp edge, golden brown and soft inside. They do not get super fluffy unless you make the batter thicker. The waffles come out browned and slightly crispy. I am on my 5 th package so I can say I am very happy with my purchase.

Really good, and EASY!
What to know: The pancakes are 2.5 each of net carbs. But the pancake size for carb measurement is 3.5". So VERY small. The texture is perfect. The taste is really good (strong of vanilla, so if you don't like vanilla...). I've seen others complain of the texture. Well, if it's too thick, all you have to do is add water, lol. I actually do not measure the water at all. I use 1/3 of the "recipe" per the instructions and add water until it is the right consistancy. The batter should be a little runny, but not too runny. If you can't pour the mixture onto the pan, then it is too thick. Should be almost like an egg. At first upon mixing with water, the batter will seem grainy, but if you beat the batter well (again, like an egg), it smooths out very well.I prefer pancakes plain, like eating a piece of bread, maybe with some butter. Being on a low-carb diet, this works very well for when I am craving something "bready". They also work well as a hotdog bun. I refer to this as Keto pigs in a blanket (only better). I like that all you have to do is add water, very simple and easy. You can add egg for richer pancakes, but they are good just as they are. For waffles, you do need to add an egg, though I haven't tried waffles yet.

Not bad for a diabetic safe product (unless total carbs affects you)
Easy to make and taste isn’t too lacking for what it is. From a non diabetics point of view- it’s not good but definitely not bad… but from a diabetics point of view- it’s pretty good and far better than any others they’ve tried especially because it’s premixed and doesn’t require special ingredients to make.Tried the “rich” version which is on the label and made the whole bag- makes 20 3.5” pancakesRequires 4 eggs, 8tbsp of oil (I used low taste oil), and 1 cu of almost milk (I maybe should have tried my dairy gold milk)… they’re a bit dry and have minimal taste with butter and carb free syrup on it… just dry pancakes they’re pretty good and I could see myself just eating themOne thing to note- they have no lemon taste (a common taste in a lot of pancakes as they’re basically lemon/yellow cake modified)I might add some powdered lemon to it next time

Easy, flavorful, consistently good (plus lower-carb!)
I'd almost forgotten the times, over the years, I'd tried "Keto" products that ended up having strange 'off' tastes from the sweetener &/or other ingredients. Anyway, I've used this a few times in the past year or two, and honestly, I don't much notice anything other than "pancake" taste and texture, and with keto/sugar-free syrup it's a taste blend which I enjoy, and don't miss anything (sweetness or buttery-ness), plus it cooks same as any pancake, light or dark browning.I've made these now various size and thickness, and just take them for granted now, if I feel "today's pancake day".No complaints (and why should there be?) Because it really is much healthier & more dietetic than most. A keeper.

The very best Low Carb pancake on the Market !
I really felt the need to write a review about these pancakes. I’ve tasted many keto pancakes and these are definitely are far above and beyond better than the rest. This may be because they are not made from almond or coconut flour but instead of modified wheat starch and vital wheat gluten. It’s a bit controversial whether it should be considered “keto” and instead it should be labeled “Low Carb”.The flavor , taste and texture are absolutely fabulous and they are easily made by just adding water. If you have no allergies to wheat and are not strict keto but low carb I do highly recommend these pancakes you will be extremely happy and satisfied. The price is also half the price of the other keto pancakes probably because it isn’t almond or coconut flour.Enjoy!

Game changer for keto diet!!
This is a game changer for ketosis. I’ve been keto for almost 1 year (sept 1) and have lost 70lbs. Before keto (while being pregnant) my biggest craving was big fluffy pancakes with butter, peanut butter and jelly. I had it EVERY single day! This was very hard for me to let go of once starting keto. I have now found my holy grail for pancakes! I mix 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon peanut butter and 1 tablespoon Choc Zero Strawberry spread and heat it up and pour over the pancakes! It’s UNREAL!!! And for 6 pancakes it provides 27 grams of protein and is incredibly filling and satisfying! Absolutely love this stuff!

Pretty Okay.
I mixed it per the instructions and put it in my waffle maker. 1 cup almost made a full waffle. I have to say it’s probably one of the best keto ones I’ve tried so far. With that being said you can still tell it’s not a traditional pancake or waffle. It was edible though with sugar free syrup. I will most likely buy again. Perhaps I will attempt putting Blueberries or something in it.

Recieved in subpar condition; ants on package
Received the package in subpar condition, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, noticed ants on the product's surface upon inspection. Haven't had the chance to use the product yet, but the initial condition is a concern.
