I researched several mandoline's before I decided on this one. I am so glad I did. I wanted one that I did not have to balance over a bowl which can be tricky when your pushing vegetables through a sharp blade.It is well made, very sturdy and the blade is super sharp. It is easy to adjust the slicing thickness because the knob is clearly marked. You literally just twist the dial to the desired thickness. I like that it has "legs" which just easily fold out and lift the mandoline off the counter. I just sanitized my countertop, flipped the legs down, twisted the dial to 1/8" thickness and sliced 3-lbs of potatoes in about 5-minutes. It is also a plus that it comes with gloves, as if you've ever cut your finger on a mandoline you know how easy it is to do. I have not used the julienne or waffle option yet but there is a video on the site that shows you how easy it is to adjust it for either of those options. If you want a reasonably priced, quality mandoline, I would highly recommend this one.

I didn’t think I needed the glove and I sliced off the entire tip of my finger. I gave it 5 stars for sharpness but I put the setting to the thinnest possible level for just a couple slices thinking I wouldn’t need safety for that. The movement of gliding the vegetable on the plane actually pulled the blade up to a wider gap/thickness meaning I was able to slice the whole tip of my finger off on the third pass. This was my own fault, the product is fantastic. Almost too good bc it comes with all the safety gear that I didn’t use. When I gathered the courage to clean up the scene of the crime I found the tip of my finger on the cutting board with the most clean and straight edge on it. Ignoring the physical trauma (my fault I’m an idiot) this is an extremely effective tool. Very sharp, easy to use. But I would recommend the safety gear because the thickness setting did go a little off on me. Buy this an use the glove/holder and it would really speed up your chopping process. I lost my fingertip in a matter of milliseconds so I know it works well. I threw mine away out of fear but I might buy again in the future when my finger stump heals over.

It cuts pretty well. There's a little more wiggle in some places than I'd like - especially on the slope leading to the blade. I think it's good though. But I feel like it's worth something more like $30 or less.I like how wide it is. I wanted to be able to make rings by slicing whole, large onions on it & you definitely can. I've cut white onions, cucumbers, ginger, fresno peppers, & serranos on it - so far. The less crisp the vegetable the more you have to wiggle it a little when you slide it into the blade.It's super convenient that there aren't any separate blades for storage. You can flip over the main blade for jagged cut. Additionally, you can flip up two different small blades for julienne cut or bigger strips.Be sure to always wear those gloves. You will definitely cut your finger if you don't.

Remains sharp after much usage and all the configurations work well. Good deal.

I would advise ANYONE who uses this product to follow the instructions and WEAR THE GLOVES!!!! The first time I used it, I was in a hurry and didn’t put them on. It is very sharp and I found out very quickly that you will slice the ends of your thumbs if you don’t have them on. So follow the instructions and you will find that this is an excellent way to slice your food!

The mandolin slicer is not as good as I expected it to be. I cannot get the Jullienne slicer to work, the piece that holds things into place does not hold them well - it slips around too much, the whole thing is bigger than I expected so it needs more storage space, I got some cucumbers sliced, but that’s about it.

Wear the gloves that are included. Heed my advice, please!Luckily I only got a tiny chunk out of my finger but it could have been MUCH worse. I was way too complacement. Doesn't matter what you are doing, just put them on or use the holder which is also very effective.The slicer is very versatile and has a minor learning curve.It helps to do a test of the slices (mm thickness setting).I used a potato to test out slicing, making homemade chips. (as in traditional American "Lay's" style potato chips). The 3mm-6mm setting worked pretty well for that.I haven't been able to get the hang of waffle fries, without doing them very thick.Works great for vegtables, like carrrots, cucumber. There's no limit to what it can slice, just need to test out your medium and be willing to learn.

The works fairly nicely. It cuts potatoes and carrots (that is all I have tried yet) quite easily. I really like the gloves and the safety guard. It could use a feature that would allow you to cut more of the produce. The instructions could be better. They need to be larger for us old folks who can't see that well.

Sono anni che uso una mandolina che non mi ha mai abbandonato, ma a causa di un trasferimento all'estero ho dovuto comprarne un'altra e ho optato per questa. E' sicuramente più costosa di altre opzioni sul mercato, ma decisamente valida. Il prodotto è solido e pesante, con molte parti mobili (la cui resistenza andrà testata nel lungo periodo) tutte in acciaio, quindi facili da pulire e tendenzialmente indistruttibili. Le lame sono affilatissime e i meccanismi sono precisi.

der gemüseschneider funktioniert viel besser als mein vorheriger aus kunststoff.Er ist aus stahl gefertigt, so dass ich mir keine sorgen machen muss, dass er kaputt geht. Es kommt mit den handschuhen, die verhindern, dass meine hände verletzt werden.Die perfekte ergänzung für meine küche.
