The instructions aren't always right but common sense often solved that. I reccomend looking ahead to make sure you know what you're doing and expecting next.There are additonal shop signs and the semicircles that the copper for the windows lean on encase you break them or just want more. You need to cut the copper to size which will require cutters. Wish they came ready made.For those stuggling with the wiring I've added photos of the correct way to do them. (Follow the disgram in the instructions not the written ones). Make sure you scrape of the clear protective layer on the fairy lights before testing to see which - and + otherwise they won't work. I also removed more blue/red rubber from the wires so I had a longer length to connect the lights to.If it helps, I rolled up tape to make a pole and stuck this to the wiring, then fed that tbrough the bottom hole to get the wiring to the other side.The lights are also dimmable. Just hold your finger on the light sensor and they will dim down and back up again. Just let go when at rhe desired lighting. There is plenty of fairy lights packed so feel free to add light to more windows.I am a rubbish painter, but I still enjoyed making this. The left half I built then painted. The right have I painted then built. I think I prefer the saftey/structure of the first and the ease of the latter.The overall book nook is too tall for my shelf with the roof which is disapointing but I suppose that's why they tell you not to glue it down.I hope there will be a Hogsmeade one in the future.

I enjoyed making this, took about a week. The lights were fiddly to get into position, but after remembering to scrape the end of the Led cable to remove the coating (heat it up first) they worked 2nd time. I didn't have an on/off switch in my box but just poked the wire through. I now just need to decide where to put it.

Thinking this was going to be a fun project and be single but no it wasn't...started off really well until I came to fixing the lights, it was so temperamental and now the charging cable has broken so can't charge it, the lights don't seem to be working now either and it was fully charged when the charging cable was working, why couldn't it have been battery powered or made easier, just wasted my time really

It was quite a task to build it and instructions could have been more detailed. It looks pretty.Although…..Unfortunately the lights circuit arrived with a broken / detached cable. So it does not work and cannot reconnect it. Could you please send a replacement board?

I have messaged the seller 3 times asking how I can get/buy a replacement led/lamp circuit board - the soldering was dreadful and wires had come detached (presumably in transit). It doesn’t take much to send a reply!

Amazing amount of parts to this although some are fragile and easily break, just have a sharp blade available.Use a pencil to mark their number against the plan of laser cut A4 sheets.Use good PVA glue, neat, not watered down.use nail file boards to remove the burrs after pushing out.A quality product.Semicircle window pieces fragile. remove with blade, do not push out.

Edit: the seller contacted me quickly and is shipping replacement parts.The diorama is plain, but easily customizable to make it more dynamic. Mine came out rather good until I reached the last stage in assembly and discovered the lighting system was faulty.Things you might want to know before you start:It is going to take a lot of hours to complete.If you’re painting it, paint everything before you assemble it.The instructions have you put the window “glass” in after it is assembled, but that proved difficult and messy getting glue on the windows and in a few cases the pressure caused the bars on the windows to become dislodged. I would suggest installing it the glass each window before you attach them to the walls.The tiny pieces used as supports in the rounded windows break easily, but there are several extras if that happens. Unfortunately, they do not explain this in the instructions, so I have a few windows missing supports, and it was only after it was complete that I realized there were spares.The big issue is that the circuit board to control the lights is faulty. Looking through the review this seems to be an issue many buyers have had. I have submitted a message through amazon and will revise the review if I get a response. But as it stands, I cannot rate a defective product any higher than 1 star.I hope this helps anyone thinking of buying this kit.

Inizio col dire che è un ottimo prodotto ben fatto! Prima cosa consiglio di tagliare un po’ i pezzi prima di staccarli anche con un taglierino (ci sono anche dei doppioni). Le istruzioni sono molto semplici c’è poco di scritto la maggior parte sono immagini (io mi sono trovata con tutte le istruzioni)Cosa importante è anche la fase della costruzione del circuito elettrico, non fatevi spaventare in realtà è molto facile sono 3 piccoli passaggi anche se dalle immagini sembra più complicato. In ogni caso se avete dubbi potete contattare l’assistenza che vi manderà anche dei video sul procedimento (c’è un codice QR sulla scatola che vi permetterà di contattarli). Io ho pitturato il tutto con la tempera. Ci vuole molta pazienza e manualità per completare tutto, non è semplice ma neanche impossibile. Comunque assolutamente consigliato. ( All’ interno del kit è compresa solo la colla)

Es hat Spass gemacht, den Bausatz zu bauen. Stellenweise etwas fummelig, gerade bei den Runden Fenstern …Alles in allem aber ok, alle Teile dabei, gute Passgenauigkeit (mal etwas anschleifen finde ich ok) und das Ergebnis lohnt sich.Zu beachten ist, das der IR Sensor in einem der Fenster liegt, sonst funktioniert die Fernbedienung nicht!
