Great flavor. Quality ingredients

This has cleaner ingredients than a lot of the other dried bread products on Amazon. It is 70% barley flour yeast salt and water. It is very hard similar to probably hard tack that our ancestors ate however it’s stores forever and as soon as you add it into a warm soup broth it softens and does provide a delicious flavor.

This is worse than eating cardboard.

These are pretty tasty although an acquired taste. One will fill you up and keep it there for hours. Just put in water very briefly and put over heat for about 5 mins. It will soften and be soft as cake or muffin.

I use these with chickpeas and tomatoes for a dish I ate in Crete. They are the real thing, made from barley, not wheat as rusks are. I also use them in panzanella instead of rusks.

Ingredients are wholesome and it’s pretty tasty, but it’s only 43% barley. I was hoping for more barley flavor.

This bread held up fabulously to the moisture of the veggies and the olive oil. It softened at just the right rate.
