Q: Will this fit in the overhead bin?

The 24” does not fit in most domestic overheads but they also make a 21” thafits nicely.

Q: I tried the zipper in several different stores. Could not even open it. Has this been a problem?

This lugggage has the patented SECURITECH zip which makes breaking into the bag through the zipper much more difficult. The additional security may make the zipper a little stiffer but this has not driven any negative feedback.
