This does what it is supposed to do. However, I gave it 3 stars because it requires that there be no ambient light sources in the vicinity before it will activate through the activity sensor. We use this in the kitchen and it was placed underneath a cabinet to provide my spouse who needs extra light around the counter to prepare her dish. This light strip does offer the selection to stay on or off or on sensor which is great -- when you remember. We had a different light strip that did this but the internal battery failed and now will no longer charge. It was similar as this one without the option selections. The magnetic strip allows for ease in removing the light without having to remove the mounting tape. We actually used the 3M Velcro to allow for removal if necessary. All in all, it works as intended and has no wires to fool with.

I was hoping this light was different from other LED's I have purchased but, I'm beginning to feel like Charlie Brown and Lucy is holding the football. Yes, they light up, so in the dark you can see the light but, nothing is illuminated. The motion sensor is nonsense, I have no idea when this light will go on, even turning on another light may make it go on yet, other times,you are left in the dark. The charge time is also not as advertized. I do have 1 LED lamp I use while I am reading and it seems to work but,needs to be charged way to often. This is it for me, no more of these things.

I ordered a few different motion activated lights to test, this one came in basically identical packaging as one by a brand called "Avantek," and this one is "Ompakey." I don't know why or how they are different brands but identical products in identical packaging.Both were terrible at picking up motion. Even when I would pick them up and shake them they would take 5 or so seconds to turn on. Walking by, waving my hands in front of them did not activate. Additionally, the switch that controls the different settings seems to have issues, position 3 is motion sensing with bright light, and I found that even while pointed directly at the #3 on the light, the switch was not exactly in place. May have led to the motion sensing issues, but either way, there are better one's out there: Closet Light, Hometek Wireless Motion Sensor Led Night Light Bar/Strip Magnetic Rechargeable Cabinet Lamp (Silver)The charging lights are also backwards - to me, common sense says red means low battery, blue means full, but in this case and with Avantek, it's the opposite.

Bought a couple of these to use in a poorly lit section of stairs in our very old house. At night, the corners of our curved stairs are dark and maybe a little dangerous. Attached one of these to a bannister support post on the lower motion activated setting. It lights up the dark area perfectly, and because it attaches with a magnetic strip it's easy to pull off and recharge. I've only had to charge it once in a couple of months and if we didn't have cats setting it off all night I believe it would last at least a couple of months before having to be charged. Great product!

This is a nice light and it illuminates space well. The motion sensor works well. The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 star is that it doesn't come with an AC/DC adaptor for the USB cord used to recharge it, so I had to order one separately. It was either that or use the one that came with my phone - which was inconvenient.

Works great for our non-lit cupboards! Turns on when you open the door and times out. Awesome, as we've had it about a year. Magnet works well. I knocked it off and it hit the ground hard, little smashed up, but still works. Don't knock it off!

Bought these to light an interior of a safe. I love them. The motion activation keeps me from having to fumble for a switch, the USB charge lets me recharge as needed rather than burning thru batteries. LED light quality is good. 2 units lit a 24 gun safe adequately.

Great option and awesome customer service. They addressed my concerns. One charge lasts a month for me. Just be mindful about the location. Once you put it is difficult to move/remove cleanly.
