Are their two dishes for the inside - one for each tier? I am just wondering how drippings from the upper tier do not fall on the food on the lower tier?

There is only one inner dish. I haven't had a problem with drippings from the top tier. The steamer is a great buy, works exactly as described.

Has anyone had any trouble getting replacement baskets for this steamer?

I wrote the company and told them the plastic baskets were cracking, they sent me a brand new steamer! No charge! I couldn't be happier!
