Great for my home studio
INFLATION TIP: As previous reviewers have said, these come squished flat. The seller has provided detailed instructions to reinflate or "puff them up". I was a rebel and tried something that worked great: Put four at a time in your clothes dryer with a handful of ice cubes. Check every 4 minutes. Remove the ones that have puffed up fully and replace with squashed ones (some will inflate faster than others). This was fast and easy and they came out great. Just be sure to have a timer set every time, so as not to overheat and damage the foam or your dryer.I used mounting tape to attach them to the walls and ceiling of my booth. Four small squares on each worked great. Just be sure to clean the walls with a diluted alcohol solution before, to remove dirt and oils.I used these for a voice over booth and they successfully remove reflections, leaving the room "dead". Just what I needed. If this is your first time using foam for sound absorption, I recommend doing some googling about how to place foam tiles to achieve your desired effect.I didn't have any of the misshapen or miscut tiles other reviewers have mentioned. Mine work great and look very professional.

Comparable with the "Big Name" Sound Treatment Panels
These panels sounded too inexpensive to be true. Bought a 24 pack to see how they perform for my noisy home office, where I do a LOT of Zoom calls like many of you. They are an honest 2 inches deep after unpacking and expanding. I checked with a ruler. They're good quality, close to up there with some of the expensive "name brand" panels. I'm impressed. You get more bang for the buck buying 2" deep panels instead of 1". One caveat: Patience! When you unpack these, you MUST follow the vendor's preferred way of doing it if you want perfectly-expanded panels. Its method #4 in their how-to. I threw batches of them into a warm shower for a couple of minutes to expand to 100% size, wrung them gently out by hand, then propped them in front of a space heater with a fan for an hour or so. The vendor says use a hair dryer as part of their preferred method. That works but can be slow as you're doing one or two at a time. These panels retain an absolutely amazing amount of water, so it takes awhile no matter how you dry them. I also tried putting a few batches of 4 into an electric oven at 170 degrees F for an hour each, since it was a chilly day outside. That also worked very well. Disclaimer: I'm NOT endorsing the oven-drying method! I watched over the oven when I tested that drying method and the house was ventilated just in case. No fumes. Dry panels. All good. Keep the temp around 170-175 and you're fine. Don't use a gas oven. If you're doing this and it's a warm day outside and not windy (they're light and could blow away), you could well them in the direct sun outdoors to dry. I used 3M 77 spray adhesive to mount the panels on walls in my home office. There are other ways to mount them that are not as permanent. It's a LOT deader in here now. Much less echo and I didn't spend $100s on a box of 24 panels from a big-name. Ordering two more 24 packs to do my tv room / man cave room in the basement. I've been a major market broadcast engineer for 4 decades and I'd use this exact panel with no hesitation in a studio buildout, especially with the tight budgets going into 2021.

Works pretty darn well, kinda ugly, arrives deformed
pro: does a great job, cheapcon: deformed/compressed to reduce shipping costs and they don't spring back without some work (soaking in warm water and throwing them in the dryer). also, some of the pieces were fringedthe deformity didn't seem to affect the density, so they still do a great job of treating a space. but if cosmetics rank high on your priorities, look elsewhere

TRASH. it's a lie that they are 2" thick, they are barely 1/4"
barely 1/4 inch thick, way thinner than the promised 2" thick. the stuff was not even cut into squares and looked like the end of a roll that had been stretched and pulled out of shape. NO WAY this is acceptable! this is pure trash. They suggest that you use a hair dryer to help it fluff out (WTF!) for TRUE sound dampening the foam should come out of the box EXACTLY how it's going to sit, not be told to wait 72 hours for the foam to take it's shape. it's cut wrong! it's a lie that it's 2" thick! TRASH!

STOP! Your Foam Will be FINE!
I have ordered this same block of foam three times over the last six months. Each time the foam comes more and more compressed, and each times it expands to proper size. This time it was so small (between 1/2 ands 1/3 inches!) I was sure the company had screwed up. I had the return form filled out, but decided to try the "quick expansion" instructions using warm water.,Whoa.That worked alright. I couldn’t believe it. The picture above is of two foam squares from the same shipment -- one fast expanded, the other fresh from the box. See!That little shock aside, the stuff works well for my purpose, and is a reasonable price. NOTE: This foam is mostly to deaden an existing space, not block external noises. I use it inside a home vocal studio that is inside a sound treated room already.

Great Product! (But Wait)
Overall not to bad, other than the packaging/box being a mess. The product it's self is pretty good. Expect to have to trim some of the pieces and look for defects like mine have. Wish some pieces wasn't weirdly shaped and or had a hole in it. But overall if you are going to fill up an entire room this would be a good buy. I hope that the seller gets back with me so I can make this a 5 star rating and too buy more in the future.Note do air out for 72. Slight warping in them but once glided will look better. Update soon!
