Is this in us or uk cups?

There is a very slight difference between UK/European/Australian cups and US cups. The UK cups are 250mls and US cups are 240mls, so UK half cups are 125mls whereas US half cups are 120mls (quarter cups tend to be the same at 60mls). Courtesy of google

Will the measure markings wash off?

Unfortunately my husband caught the measuring jug on the water tap while washing it and it broke didn't have it long but I would say the numbers would not be affected by hand washing.
