Excellent quality oven-ready meal.
Great quality chicken in a delicious, rich sauce. Rice survives well in the oven and the portion comfortably serves two with naan or other accompaniments. Be aware the packaging advises against freezing the product due to the quality of the rice being impacted, but I accidentally froze without reading then cooked as normal once defrosted- no issues. Wouldn't want to try cooking from frozen though.

Nice but not a typical tikka masala
How do you define a tikka masala anyway? And is it a British or Indian dish? I guess all of this is subjective! Although from what I’ve heard, chicken tikka masala was made in Britain by a chef from Bangladesh and inspired by India’s classic butter chicken. Anyway, facts aside… down to this specific product.I say it’s not typical as it has waaaay more spice than ANY chicken tikka masala I’ve had. It is on the same level as a Dansak (hopefully spelt right). It’s medium spiced. And this isn’t coming from someone who finds Dorito crisps spicy either. My claim to fame was eating a ghost pepper back when I was 19. Not that I’m a spice head either, just a little bit stupid…In all seriousness, if you like a creamy tikka masala with no/low spice you won’t like this. It has a creamy texture but with a kick. Or if you’re used to that overly sweet (horrible) chicken tikka masala, you won’t like this. The chicken is great though, falls apart in your mouth.Portion for 2? Probably. If naan bread and sides are involved. But honestly, this could be eaten by one. It is a respectable two person portion. But in the same way how a pack of dessert can serve 5… it can and calorie wise it should, but does it ever truly serve 5 good servings? Maybe I’m just greedy.So yes, nice dish. But watch the spice if you’re expecting creaminess.

Easy meal!
I like Charlie Bighams ready meals, they are great tasting. Great quality product but difficult to find their full range in stock at most supermarkets, including Amazon Fresh.

Small portions
Taste was good, rice was lovely and enough for two as I don’t like a lot of rice but there certainly wasn’t enough chicken for 2 people. I was also disappointed because I had ordered the lasagna but Morrisons had substituted this instead of another type of lasagna.
