He meets Maria shortly after as she is performing a dance routine, and he falls in love instantly. Shortly after, we find that Maria is a boy, but that does not deter Taiga. There is more to Maria than meets the eye. My Thoughts: My oldest child picked this out for me as it is one of their favorite Mangas, and I see why. This manga was so cute with an extremely important message behind it, that we should never judge superficially, there is always more to a person within their mind. There are some dark themes in this book like SA of a child, so be warned before going on just in case this could trigger you. Overall, I LOVED this story, and it will stay with me for a while.

I love this book so much and I bought this after reading an online version. The story is so heartwarming and I was literally just filled with nothing but joy after reading it. Every tiny detail comes full circle and it's fun to see them especially if you read it multiple times. Also rest in peace to PEYO, beautiful art and story, I wish I could see more from them because I'd 1000% buy. Though a warning before reading the book and slight spoilers, one of the main characters was raped and there's a flashback of it and it's also mentioned a lot as it's a key part of the story but it doesn't take away from the story at all, if anything it only adds and it doesn't feel forced at all.

I'm not giving it 5 stars because my heart broke many times reading this story. The background stories are so sad and scary and it kills me to see/read about these particular subjects. Other than that, this is a beautiful story about acceptance and understanding. P.s. there are lots of triggers in this story though. I changed my mind about the 4 stars now it's 5.

This is such a beautiful manga. The art is very appealing as well. I rarely buy manga but I read this online and knew I had to get a copy. I highly recommend. However this manga does include SA so beware! Anyways the main characters are so adorable I love them. My only complaint is that one corner came torn and it was really ugly looking but I fixed it with tape. Of course I don’t blame the author or the publishing company for this but Amazon shipping lol. Please give this book a try. I am a queer person myself and this book is so beautifully written it has become one of my favorites.

I read a scanned copy online before (not good but) and loved it, so I'd spend some money on the book to support! I get how some of the reviews are criticizing on the contents of trauma and sexual assault (definitely worse than that), but I'd also say that it's already standing out in terms of storytelling and concepts among all the Yaoi works. Also Asian comics or just Yaoi works often touch on contents like bully or assault or domestic traumas, and usually don't have any content warning ahead of reading. It's a thing that people need to be aware of for sure, but not the author's fault that she didn't realize to include it. Anyway I love this comics and glad I can find an English version physical copy here!

The book arrived in good condition and on time. Despite the somewhat graphic content I can't imagine anyone over the age of 14 being moved by "boy meets maria". "Maria's" gender issues make absolutely no sense when you think about it for more than five minutes. So his mother forced him to dress as a girl growing up and he was assaulted while dressed as a girl... so now he freaks out and can't deal when dressed as a boy? This is never explained in depth. The ending is corny as well, but I will say the illustrations are beautiful.

Die besprochenen Themen in diesem Buch werden sehr authentisch und empathisch rübergebracht. Die Main-Characters sind beide likeable auf ihre Art und der Artstyle ist großartig. Eines meiner Lieblingsbücher in meiner Sammlung.

It is a dark, heavy, all-consuming story, but it is worth it. I recommend checking the trigger warnings because this story will wreck your heart. It is perfectly written for those of us who love having our main organ broken into a million pieces.

Boy Meets Maria is a one shot beautiful BL Manga story .. There is no other squeal .. I ordered from India through Cocoblu Retail Limited .. Book's quality is really really amazing .. this is a real Manga .. just one thing disappoints me is when I see many YouTube videos unboxing this manga there was some photos or stickers with in this book but when I get this book I have no photos or stickers in this book .. it's just a book though this book is in great condition .. Good book, interesting and came a week earlier than expected it was a great gift
