Microsoft Original Xbox Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S and Windows 10 PC

Adapter works fine. It is designed for the first gen of the Kinect sensor. The new Senor models are USB and there is no need for this adapter. I had the Day One edition of Xbox One so it came with the old sensor. I got the new Xbox One S and wanted to utilize the Kinect. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is cheaper than having to buy a new Sensor. Would recommend it.

Works as you'd expect to. It's a glorified wire adapter. For what it's intended to do, it gets 5 stars. The real question is why would one be forced to shell out $$ to connect Kinect to the console it is intended for to start with! If you have an Xbox One and want to use Kinect with it, an adapter is your only option! Silly...

Reviews of cheaper alternatives warned of reliability problems. No such issues with this. The Kinect works as intended. Just wish the Kinect and the adapter were sold as a bundle, or that the Kinect product info was clearer that the adapter is necessary.

This adapter to connect Kinect to pc is a waste of money and basically just stealing from us because I spoke for 2 hours with Microsoft and there are no games for Kinect on PC except one called wallball and its cheezy kick soccer ball game. So why is it being sold? I am very hurt. They offer no games for kinect on pc but VRR works but not Kinect even though the games was made for it. I even bought some games thinking was going to work. Bought sensor adapter and some games for my gransons xmas and now I am broke and xmas is ruined unless they send me an xbox or a vrr set up which not going to happen so a 50 year old man is crying and now has nothing to give his grandson for xmas. I am very hurt by this I feel robbed and cheated and lied to! I have never felt so bad about something of the sort. I am furious and it needs to stop. They take our money with the impression this adapter will let us play games on pc ... well maybe would if there was games for Kinect on pc. But there is not so stop cheating us my god this is wrong on so many levels. I am out 250 bucks right now and have no work till jaunary and no way to get anything else for my 3.5 yr old grand son and I have to let him down now so this is such a present thank Microsoft for ruining our xmas. Send me an xbox or vrr set to make it right not going to happen though I am just screwed and have to let my grandson down!

After reading reviews and users comment I decided I should go with the Microsoft branded adapter instead of the generic or copycat ones in order to preserve my components. Bought a "like new" adapter and actually received a brand new one. The quality couldn't be any better, as even though Sony/playstation might be better in some things, Microsoft/Xbox is way better in build quality. They feel robust, sturdy and not cheap at all. Cords are really strong and packaging/presentation is as good as it gets. Would buy another one if I have too, specially since they are discontinued.

A lot of people give this a bad rating because it's annoying having to buy a new piece just because you upgraded the Xbox. I was annoyed too, but I'm very glad there is a way to still use the Kinect. The adapter works perfectly and honestly isn't inconvenient at all.

I purchased this off of the listing for Windows 10. I have been on the fence about purchasing a 930e as a camera. Then I saw this listing and realized I had a Xbox One Kinect sitting on a self not being used. I figured why not, this route would be cheaper and possibly workout better as I was always happy with how well the Kinect functioned with my Xbox One. Hey that was my first mistake. As for the adapter itself it does function and creates a connection between the Kinect and your PC. It comes in a box that really is much bigger than it needs to be for what you get. Now the contents are a puzzle to me as it seems like there are many other ways this could have been accomplished. I say this as there are multiple cord, connections and adapter boxes. Everything only hooks up one way so directions are not really necessary and in the place of them you get what I can best describe as a map, which is actually more appropriate for way this goes together. For those of you that pay a lot of attention to cord management, I hope your Kong-Fu is strong as this will be a challenge. Once connected to the pc this is not a plug and play setup and it will frustrate you. I can only hope that updates are on the way to make this more functional, only time will tell. The good news is I plan to purchase an Xbox One S and this will not end up being a complete waste of money.

I must say I was a bit disappointed that Microsoft did not make it so the Kinect would fit in the One S. But they did make this over priced adapter for it. Although I am angry at Microsoft for this and that I had to pay more for the adapter, this review is for the product itself and not what Microsoft has done to gouge us for more money. This adapter works like a charm and allows me to use the Kinect on my one S. It has long cords and is exactly what I needed to enjoy the fitness aspect of the Xbox One S. Very good can use kinect on xbox one x. Recived early.

Era necesario comprarlo para poder usar el kinnect en mi nuevo Xbox One S. Funciona perfectamente. Si son mas cables extras, pero los pude ocultar detras de la pantalla sin problema. Es original y llego en perfecto estado. Llego muy bien y elegi el envio fue gratis, asi que aunque se atraso unos dias el envio con Estafeta, no hubo problema en la entrega.
