Laptop Keyboard Cover (KLP13WHT)

It fits great over a MacBook and a Lenovo laptop. Easy to use and store.

My 18 month old daughter figured out how to get this off in just a few minutes. Not necessarily the products fault but I'm sad it did not work. If you have a misceivious hooligan this may not work for you either. The product itself is sturdy and fits my dell laptop perfectly.

A very simple, but useful product that works well with most of the laptops. Helped keeping my baby from slamming her hands on the keyboard and trackpad. The only shortcoming is that in MacBook Pro, the microphone is located above the keyboard and hence, using it as designed blocks it and makes the audio transmission difficult.

It does as advertised, but the board itself is almost too large of a design for my 13 inch Macbook pro. The band barely makes it onto the computer itself.

I was given the opportunity to review the Kid Lid for my Macbook Air 13" (Early 2014 model). It also works on my HP Elitebook 8470P and should work on a multitude of other laptops. The Kid Lid is such a simple idea at an affordable price that could potentially save you hundreds of dollars. The Kid Lid prevents any damage from children hitting, scratching, or pulling at the keyboard, mousepad area, etc. It's made from a durable plastic that holds up well. We use this when watching cartoons from Youtube or looking at pictures with our children. It easily slips on over the screen and has a elastic strap to go around the bottom portion of the laptop. The item remains snug and does not move around once it has been placed on the laptop. It takes all of 5 seconds to install or remove. If your child has juice, water, basically anything liquid around your laptop, this can potentially prevent liquid damage as well. I understand the Kid Lid isn't made to do this but it if the cover is installed and liquid is poured on the cover it will not allow it to seep into the keyboard or mousepad. Just to give you an idea, the cost of a logic board (motherboard) replacement on my previous laptop (Dell) was over $700! Dell noted the motherboard and hard drive both needed to be replaced. This was many years ago but still; prices should be around the same these days. We haven't had to wash it yet, we have just wiped it clean but it is dishwasher safe according to the description. The dimension of the Kid Lid are: 14.5" x 10.25" and it weighs less than a pound (~12 oz).
