So far so good. Bought this after our small run around car wasnt starting, had a flat battery a couple of times and always had to resort to jump starting. So purchased this to give the battery a good charge, and make it a lot more reliable.I took the product out of the box, and unfortunatly the leads to connect to the battery were too short, so i had to remove the battery from the car, which wasnt too bad.. put the battery on charge in the garage on recon mode, and so far so good, its been a cold month, and the car has started every time since charing it.At the moment i have the lesuire battery out of my boat on a maintence charge. Seems to be working well.Since ordering this i found you can order extenstion leads for the charger, so i have purchased one so that next time i dont have to remove the battery from the car to charge it.Update: having had this for a while now I have charged and reconditioned a few batteries (for relatives and friends) I am really impressed with it - since this post I have purchased the extension lead for it which makes life easier - charging without removing the battery!

Ordered in the early hours of Sunday morning, arrived after lunch on Monday!The unit has a mains lead with a UK plug and another lead which ends in a small socket. There are two leads which can be attached to this socket, one with croc clips (as shown in the product photo) and the other with two eyelets, suitable for a permanent installation. There is also a manual and a very useful drawstring bag, which can hold the charger, the cables and the manual.The manual is straightforward, as is the operation of the charger. The charger does get quite warm in operation, so it would be sensible to follow the manual's advice not to place the charger on top of the battery being charged.I haven't tried the alternator test yet but the other functions seem to work as described. I can't yet tell if it has managed to resurrect an old 12v battery from my Prius - time will tell.

So they claim a 5 year warranty. Only problem is, they simply do not respond to support requests.The charger more-or-less works, but it gets stuck in Recond mode for hours even when Recond mode is *not* selected.For a pricey charger like this, you'd think they could take the trouble to respond to emails. They can't blame Covid-19 for this either, I first complained about this problem 4 years ago.

I very good charger, I used it to charge my stop start battery and although it took a long time, but it did it. It charges at one rate where as other chargers can be set to charge at much higher rate than this one. I think it only charges at 5 amps.

Over a prolonged period I was using the unit to charge my classic car battery and ending up replacing the battery twice. Extensive investigation by engineers could not find an unrecognised discharge from the battery and it was not until I charged the battery from an old charger did I realise the CTEK unit was not working properly. Months of email exchanges trying to obtain a replacement have failed. (It is within warranty)The company have just ceased replying to my emails.

This charger works great. I managed to recover a completely flat battery (0.4V across terminals). I ran the de-sulphation - conditioning charge several times and then ran a full ordinary charge. The battery has fully recovered.

Excellent charger in such a small package. I have an optimate charger too, but this is 7-8 times more powerful.
