I am running this media as my first layer in a flex 15 tank with the inTank chamber 1 and 2 upgrades and it works very well. There is some residue that will come through the blue side as this is good for down to about 400 microns. I added a water polishing pad at 50 microns under this and it works very well together. These pads will capture a ton of debris though so be aware they may need to be changed often. I do mine once a week, not to worry though as there are a few big sheets included to be easily cut to size, great value for the money. Review: Filter smell - Since used this filter, fish tank smells for some reason. Other than that, good product.
