It's a good drill
The drill drills. Easy to use, compact, solid build, easy to swap out bits, and drives everything homes.

The PS42-02 is simply wonderful!
I've had this impact driver for about 2 months now, and have used it quite a lot. It has quickly become one if not my favorite go to power tools! It is very powerful for its size and weight. Very ergonomic as well.I have an older brushed Bosch 12v 1/4" driver (non impact) that I've had for several years. I honestly don't know how long exactly, but I know I've had it at least 5 or 6 years. It is a great tool that I use mostly with hex drill bits as a drill. I still have both of the batteries that came with it, and both are still going strong. I was in the market for a light weight 1/4" impact and the fact that the batteries have lasted so long with virtually zero noticeable degradation is one of the reasons I went with the PS42-02.This thing will drive 3 inch wood screws into 2x6 lumber like butter, and it's compact size and light weight means it does not fatigue your arm while doing it. I really do love this impact and think it has to be one of if not the best tools in its class.

A real professional review
It's finally here in the good old U S of A! Finally! I've had this tool for a few weeks now and I'm really pleased with it. It's lighter than it's previous brother the PS41. Its brushless, 2 speed settings and on & off switch for the lights. A lot of guys will say that it's not as powerful as the Milwaukee M12 fuel. My answer to that is. I don't care. I've used the M12 fuel line for a month. That's because I borrowed my friends set just to see how they are. He has all the M12 fuel tools which is very impressive in my opinion. In my opinion. They are heavy and not as compact as the Bosch 12v line. I borrowed them because they have a whole lot more tools than Bosch does here in the US. I wanted to be able to use them for awhile because I was on the fence of getting the Bosch Brushless tool line. So after using the M12 fuel line for a month. I decided that they were heavier and bulkier. But they are a great tool line. But Bosch's compact and lighter 12V tools won me over. I travel a lot for my job. This includes getting on a plane. With the power tools I need for my job. Going with Bosch was the way to go. I even ordered their 12V tools not available here in the US. I must say that I'm very happy with my decision. Now back to the Bosch PS42-02. It's a work horse for a 12V impact driver. Now that it's brushless. The batteries last a lot longer than before. It's has no problem driving 3" screws in a stud without any pilot holes. I'm a professional in the construction industry. If you're looking for a compact and lightweight impact driver. Then I definitely recommend this to tool for you. It doesn't matter if your a professional or a DIY person. This little guy will get you through the day and will be worth every penny that you spent on it. You won't be disappointed!

Great small impact driver
This is certainly not a beast of a driver. I got the same model as my regular non-impact driver, which I love. It fits great in my hand and has the right ergonomics for me. I have a much bigger different brand driver which has been a real workhorse which I love. But I will always reach for this one for home projects and even commercial for lighter duty.Plus it is Bosch quality. I have had a lot of Bosch tools and they have never let me down. Excellent quality. This does have a smaller battery - it is a smaller driver - but that makes it light. Of course that also means it doesn't last as long on a charge as a bigger battery. It does charge fairly quick. I bought this model since it uses the same size as my regular driver which came with two batteries. It is not the strongest impact driver and won't do a really heavy duty job. I would go with a bigger driver for those jobs. But for driving screws for building a fence it is great. It would need several charges for a long fence but is great to grab and go. I used it to drive 4" screws into a door frame and into the studs behind it on a door hinge. I needed to bed the hinge deeper to correct a sag. It did have to work hard towards the end of each screw but it did finish each screw with some effort. That was a pretty hard job. It would have no problem hanging sheetrock though.I like it and would recommend it for what it is designed to do.

Great impact driver
Works great for HVAC technicians that aren't doing heavy installation jobs. Great quality.

A well-designed and engineered impact driver.
I like the compactness and the LED lighting. Plus, having two batteries is a plus. I had a Bosch 3.7V screwdriver, but, alas, they discontinued that product line. This is a whole-nother thing. Plenty of torque, battery life and utility. Not a whole lot of torque like what you'd get with units (DeWalt et al. that weigh more), but I haven't encountered a job that it could not do.
