I have been shopping around for a backseat hammock/car seat for my dog for a while and finally found one that is compatible with Tesla model 3! Other models I have tried have not fit well, because the straps are usually not long enough to go over the Tesla’s headrests, and are usually designed for cars that have adjustable/removal headrests. I also wanted a car seat that would not take up the entire backseat (like Tesla’s own hammock design) and could still leave one seat open for guests. While the Tesla does not have grab handles in the backseat, I was able to install this car seat by looping the extra grab-handle straps onto the headrests. I also love the side zips of this car seat, as I am able to easily unzip it for him to hop out. Our dog is a labrador pitbull mix and weighs about 60 pounds, he fits perfect in this car seat, and really seems to enjoy it now that he’s used it multiple times. It seems like he feels much more secure/comfortable in my car compared to when he rides openly in the backseat of my husband’s car- he fidgets a lot more when he is not in the car seat. The only downsides: the anchor that is stuffed under the backseat is very difficult to fit. The mesh that allows ac airflow is only on one side, which means the car seat can only be installed behind the passenger side, and cannot be placed behind the driver side.

I had to exchange for the larger size for myDog. I would say this is best for a 30 lbs or less dog.

My Leia rather be in my lap, but this is so much safer and she likes being enclosed. She always goes to her carrier for security, so this made her comfortable because it was enclosed. She’s a 9 lb dog and I purchased for a small med dog

Only hammock we could find with a mesh front that only covered 2/3 of the seat allowing for a car seat. Was great initially, however the clip on one of the headrest straps quickly broke meaning the hammock is unsecure. Wish it would have lasted longer for the price.

We took our two min pins on a 8 hour (there and another 8 back) road trip. Every previous time in the car they would freak out and shake uncontrollably. We spent the majority of our trip checking to make sure they were still there. This thing is magic. They were calm, contained and comfortable the entire trip.

Great purchase for the price, easy to assemble, exactly as description states. Very roomy

The media could not be loaded.  The product would be great, but there are 2 zippers literally missing for zipping the mesh roof on. There’s supposed to be 4 zippers to zip the mesh roof on, 1 zipper for each side. And 2 out of the 4 zippers are just straight up missing, so I can’t zip the mesh top on fully. So so disappointed.UPDATE: they did send me a replacement that had all the zippers, and it works great. It’s spacious enough for my 45 pound dog and keeps her enclosed. Definitely wish the correctly made product came in the first time, but I’m glad to have it nevertheless!
