It’s much easier to run it to the battery and just remember to shut them off **Q: Is the switch waterproof?** A: Highly doubtful. **Q: On the Handlebar switch, the white wire control the relay (positive output) and the red wire goes to the battery (positive input)?** A: On the wiring kit I installed the handlebar switch (red and white) wires connect to the relay with a pigtail connector. The heavier gage (red and black) wires from the relay go to the battery, and the (red and blue) wires connect to the light bar. All three wire sets where in individual shrink tubing. The only problem I had was the plastic on the switch housing is thin and one of the supplied screws stripped the hole out. I contacted the manufacturers customer service and they never responded. This one is fitted for an ATV and has a little extra length that allows easy adjustments when installing.
