Kindfolk Yoga Mat Tote Bag Carrier Patterned Canvas with Pocket and Zipper

I needed to replace my large Gaiam mat bag, which didn't survive one year of use. After much researching, I'm glad I decided on this one. This is a sturdy, strong bag with nicely reinforced handles - one of the big failures of my previous bag, check out my review of that one. I have a thick Prana ECO mat and a regular mat, both 24" wide, and they fit beautifully side by side in this mat. The width for this bag is listed as 26" and I was thrilled with how fully this puppy opens up to take my mats - no struggle, no fighting. I carry a lot of items when I teach Yoga - the mats, a 17 oz. cola-shaped water bottle, my Samsung Tablet and a pill speaker for music, a 6x9" notebook/ledger, a book of readings, and my itty-bitty Baggallini, plus a few small items. I have no problem fitting them into this bag and zipping it up - something I was unable to do with old bag. I'm pleased with the roominess of this bag and that the inside is lined with cotton, not nylon - my last bag's nylon liner frayed and ripped after only a couple of months' usage. One thing I'd like to note about the bag, I did initially have difficulty zipping it up. I had to place my items carefully and practically straddle the bag with my knees to keep the sides together for zipping. After just a couple of weeks, this was no longer needed. The material must have loosened up (as anything new will with a bit of use) and I have had no trouble zipping the bag - just hold the cotton tab and zip it up. The inside pockets are useful, if a tad small, and I am growing fonder and fonder of this bag as the weeks go by. On top of quality of build and great functionality, it is simply gorgeous. The Celestial print is beautiful - colorful, but not sharp and garish. The cotton canvas of the bag has a lovely hand and the leather (vegan?) straps feel comfortable and sturdy. The build of the bag looks very strong and my load feels lighter when I carry it, due to good weight distribution. I am hesitant to be too glowing about it after just a month of use, but this bag just impresses me more every time I use it. I feel it's a wonderful product and should I find the quality to be wanting down the road, I will update my review to reflect that. But at this point, I heartily recommend this product. Thank you, Kindfolk! *Update - 9/30/17* - After 8 months of use, I am still extremely pleased with this well-constructed, durable bag. It is holding up beautifully with no signs of wear, inside or out. I do still have to manipulate my gear just a bit to make it fit well, but the bag zips up quite easily and the zipper is sturdy and smooth. Several of my student friends have purchased either this tote or the rectangular duffle-style after seeing mine. So far, we are all more than satisfied with our choice. The colors and pattern of the celestial print are so lovely. I'm still in love with this bag and recommend it unreservedly. Good product, good company.

I needed a carry tote/bag for my Kurma pro yoga mat which is 80" long by 26" wide by 5mm thick. Rolled up it has almost an 8" diameter. I did a lot of shopping before I settled on this particular tote. When I received it, I was immediately impressed with the quality. It's made from a sturdy canvas material. I totally love the design. My mat fit in it with a little spare room, barely enough for one block (it was very snug and I couldn't use the snaps on the end), and a lightweight polar fleece blanket. I ride my bicycle to yoga class and today strapped it on the back rack, it rode very well! It has pockets on the inside and outside which are great for keys, "pocket sized " wallet and cell phone. The only negative thing I could say is the pockets on the inside (while they fit my 6" cellphone) could be an inch deeper and the pocket on the outside also needs to be about an inch deeper to accommodate the larger cellphones. Fortunately I am able to store my styrofoam blocks at the gym. All in all, I am very pleased with this tote, it works well for my large mat, and blanket.

I was looking for a Pilates mat bag to use as a Instructor! I wanted a little more room then for the mat only to put more stuff! This bag is so cute! Love it! It came super fast too, ordered it on a Saturday afternoon, and arrived Mon mid-day!! It holds the mat fine alone as well, but enough room for a towel or whatever. I did find the the front pocket was good for keys, but was disappointed my phone doesn't fit like others had said. But not a big deal. The pocket didn't quit hang right from being bent wrong in packaging, but I hope it should straighten out after usage. It seems super sturdy and good quality! It definitely stands out as a great unique bag for class!

I love the fabric, love the bag. I wish it was a little bit bigger. But basically the bag's ideal for a change of clothes, a yoga towel, and a yoga mat. The zippers are the downside for sure. I've been using the bag for about a week and all the zippers have popped off. They still close so I'm keeping the bag but wish there was a little more investment in quality there. For the price though this bag can't be beat.

Best yoga bag ever!! I can fit my Jade mat and a blanket in this and get it zipped. If I'm not concerned with zipping it, I can fit my blocks in it as well. It is sturdy and well made. I get compliments on it wherever I go. It is not too big to carry comfortably, but big enough to fit what I need. I couldn't be happier.

Good quality. Beautiful print. My only complaint is that it appears larger than it really is, and there are large gaps between the zipper and the bag that can allow sunlight in to ruin a latex mat. It doesn't hold any more than my hugger mugger cylindrical bag, either, which is far more compact, and because of the triangular way this bag is cut, it takes up way more real estate in a crowded yoga room. It also stands out more in in the back of my car, where I prefer to leave it. After experiencing a smash and grab this winter, I don't really want an unnecessarily large bag sitting behind my backseat, if it doesn't also have room for my yoga clothes, which this one doesn't. It is pretty to look at though, if that's your priority.

Design and pattern is very cute. Feels well-made and sturdy. I appreciate the pockets and the pocket on the front does fit my iPhone 6S so that's nice. The bag is a good size and fits everything I need. Hm...my only wish I guess would be to have flat straps rather than these rounded straps because depending on which mat I use, it can get heavy. But other than that, it's very cute and I would recommend to others. :)

I bought this bag to carry my Mah Jongg game because it is nice and wide and much easier to use than the one that came with the set. The bag is better looking than the picture indicates in that the colors are very bright and vibrant and it appears to be well made. I really like it and have received several compliments on it.

Attractive and spacious yoga bag. Fits mat in easily with 2 blocks. End of zip can be a little fiddly. Solid material and have had many compliments.
