Worked great for Amazon shelf I purcahsed!
I asked whether this product was compatible with this Notebook Laptop Stand Arm Mount Tray (as you'll see in the questions section): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09K7NN7LF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Two of you answered no, but you couldn't be more wrong. The product (also purchased from Amazon) came in today, and to my pleasant surprise, the mount and the tray matched up perfectly! Excellent if you want to use this with a mic stand. Both products seem to be very well constructed / durable :-).

I didn't actually buy this to mount a LCD television ...
I didn't actually buy this to mount a LCD television. I use it in place of a small table and mount music equipment -like a small mixer or my drum machine- to the plate. I carry a short mic stand with the base connected to it and I have the slide-in-plate covered with velcro and on which I mounted on my small mixer. It makes for a quick setup and keeps my equipment at my finger tips. Works for me.

Great product after you know...
This is a very high quality product with some caveats; There is a very tight fit between the quick release of the MIC stand adapter portion to the VESA mount plate, graphite dry lube fixed this. the next is that as many customers suggested in their reviews, this is NOT a standard mic stand upright thread 5/8" it is 3/8" x 16 which does fit all of the ends of standard boom stands, however that would be fairly unstable with a round base stand and look a little ungainly. I would suggest that the seller put that specific item in their description in case someone is intending to adapt this directly to a standard straight stand. The 3/8" adapter is very common fair and if you own more than 10 stands and mic's you are certain to have one just by random chance of getting it with the gear, but if you need it there is nothing like it. Other than those minor issues it is an excellent product, good finish and will serve anyone well for a clean monitor mount for on-stage or studio use. Mine has a 13.5" NAXA HDTV/Monitor mounted to it for Speaker Confidence purposes in lectern situations where a standard confidence monitor is either too far away or would be excessive.

Correcting two shortcomings of this product
As Kyle pointed out, the pitch adjust tightener is too weak. When it is very tight, the monitor still slumps down until its bottom edge rests against the microphone stand. The metal parts are strong enough to hold my 8 pound 24-inch TV. It is this weak link that is one problem. Another problem is that this adaptor makes the mounted TV's center of gravity off-center. If the stand base is too small and/or too light the whole setup is very much in danger of falling forward. What I did to solve the first problem is to make use of the stand that came with the monitor. It is an angled bar that the monitor leans back against when set onto a desk top. The stand that came with the TV is not very good for desktop use. But I left it attached to the TV. I found that if I lash this back stand to the microphone stand's vertical rod, it braces the TV so that it does not slump downward. The next problem to solve is to counterbalance the TV so that the center of gravity of the whole thing is aligned with the vertical support of the microphone stand. After I solve that problem I will just be faced with making sure that careless people don't accidentally knock it over or trip over the cables delivering the power and signal. The monitor I bought to mount onto the stand using this adapter can be found here: ViewSonic VA2446M-LED 24-Inch LED-Lit LCD Monitor The stand that comes with the monitor is different from the one shown in the picture.

Works great as microphone mount on monitor arm!
Bought this to mount a microphone on a monitor arm. Used M5-.8 wing nuts on the M5 screws that came with the mount. Added a 3 pound ankle weight to the end of the arm because the minimum weight for the arm is 2 kg (4.4 lbs). Mounted it to an older EleTab dual counter balance monitor arm. With the additional weight it work perfect.
