I like this map for my young students in my classroom, but do not want to use it as a decal. Is the backing sturdy enough to use more as a poster?

It is sturdy enough to use as a poster. However, it ships rolled up and it wants to curl back up when it is attached to the backing. It curls so much, that it's hard to even hold it open with your hands. I would unroll it prior to use and hold it down at the corners with something heavy and let it set like that for awhile. It's a cool poster. I used it for VBS and attached it to the wall as a decal for a week then put it back on the backing and brought it home and attached it to a wall at home for use when I homeschool my kids.
