Gave this 4 stars only because I'm ASSUMING it will work as per reviews but...I purchased this ONLY because I read a review mentioning they took their fob to an Ace Hardware and paid $20 for programming. California stores will not do this anymore. They tell you you have to purchase their version. I asked about charges if I were to purchase theirs...I was completely shocked at the out the door price I was given. $334 for their fob, programming and cutting of the manual key that comes with that particular fob. I stood there shaking my head and saying WTF has happened to our world of REASONABLY PRICED items or services. So my next call was to a local key shop. Quoted $216 just to program this fob. Key cutting was $20 additional. Absolute GOUGING going on in our world. Ridiculous to pay that amount for maybe 15 minutes of their time.

The key works perfectly and is cheaper to buy than to get it from a locksmith or dealer. The only problem is, you need a special machine that only a dealer or locksmith has to code to your car. So, in the end, it was still expensive to do but if you're looking to make a second spare key for cheaper than buying another one outright then this is the way to go.

Had this key fob cut and programed by the local Ace Hardware for $20 total. You can't program it yourself, but it's a much cheaper alternative to a dealership.

It does it’s job that’s why I bought it ! Wish it had a programming code to sync it though

Auto locksmith was just here, he had warned me that he had had problems with Amazon fobs but chip in this fob matched my factory keys so it is all good and in total a fraction of the cost charged by the dealership.
