Just bought these 8.2" Canary kitchen scissors to replace a pair of Henckels (made in China) scissors. The Henckels were pure junk and never worked well. These Canary scissors seem to cut extremely well. It's nice you can take them apart, clean, and sharpen the blades separately. They claim they are dishwasher safe, but I wouldn't do it. Just like you wouldn't put nice knives in the dishwasher. 5 stars. If anything changes for the worse, will update For $22 dollars, these are a no brainer.

Beautifully made. I try to find items made by our trading partners. These are made in Japan with excellent finish and take apart for cleaning. Definitely affordable. Our henckles just didn't stand up over time.

I bought my original pair to replace the shears in my Amazon Basics knife block. I simply kept losing them, because I was always using them to cut random things that were too tough for scissors, but not tough enough for sheet metal shears. I eventually found the Amazon shears, and relegated them to a dusty drawer somewhere. The Canary shears live in my knife block now. After I got one pair, I got two, and now I have four. These extremely useful kitchen shears will cut through any reasonable kitchen stuff, and they are also great for cutting lots of other random things. I have a pair for the knife block, a pair for the toolbox, a pair for the Jeep, and a spare pair in a drawer, for the next time I misplace the ones in the knife block. Seriously, for what these cost, they're an amazing value! The blades are ground in a way that leaves them with micro-serrations, and they are wicked good at cutting through tough stuff. I bet they make great leather shears too, though I don't think I actually tried that one.

I purchased because all the reviews mention that it doesn't rust. Well, mine did. I have put it in the dishwasher but other reviews mentioned this wasn't a problem so that's what I thought I could do. They are great scissors just wish they didn't rust. I guess the hunt continues.

MONEY!! I’ve had a set of these for well over 5 years and this is my 2nd set I love em so much. Best $20 ever. Everyone needs a Bad Azz Kitchen Scissors. These have multiple uses! And come apart to be washed. Money money money!!!! Don’t delay make your life easy and order today!

Great shears! I had a good pair of All-Clad but they hurt my hands trying to cut thicker objects. These are really sharp. Plus they are more lightweight than the All-Clad pair and even the KitchenAid pair I have. The functionality of these are wonderful. I love the size too. I think the durability is outstanding. I know I will get a lot more use out of these than any of my others I’ve had. They also seem very rust resistant. I haven’t had any issues at all. They are a breeze to use. My husband even commented on them. Love these!

Wife is tough on scissors. Tough-on-scissors. I have to hide mine from her because i need them sharp. She's been through more than I care to tally. (Did I mention she's tough on 'em?) I've seen her destroy her sewing scissors to pry, cut cardboard, rose stems, trim shrubs and muddy roots outdoors (disregarding other heavier duty scissors and two pairs of pruning shears), and then put them away still wet after a careless wipe of a paper towel, because she had trashed her kitchen scissors too much to use them. I bought her these nearly 3 years ago. She uses them daily (still tough on 'em) I've seen her trim light shrubs, cut cardboard, plastics, thin aluminum and copper, hard flower stems, 16 gauge wire, popsicle sticks, and all kinds of vegetables with them and they're still good, reasonably sharp, and without rust. Impressive. Im-press-ive.

These are insane - very well built - sharp, satisfying to use... Just the top 1 mm is enough to cut through a thick zip-tie with no effort, so you can tell how good it is. Not to mention the multi-function design... Overall amazing - very highly recommended.
