i love when things work the way they're supposed to, and this does. the original remote suddenly stopped working except for turning the tv on/off. i spent around an hour trying to get the original remote to work - changed the batteries to new ones, tried with the awkward button on the back - all while the tv was stuck on some weird channel and at high volume. finally went to amazon and looked thru lots of reviews; decided on this one and ordered with overnight delivery. when it arrived, i put in 2 batteries and IT WORKED IMMEDIATELY. it connected to the tv automatically, all the buttons work, etc. i like that it's exactly the same as the original remote. an easy, functional tv remote - exactly what i wanted.
