Made of Poly Felt
These "non-woven" rings are made of thin polyester felt--reminds me of the kind used in larger landscaping projects, but feels cheaper. Staples are necessary to keep them in place. I wouldn't count on them to protect anything from digging critters--my chickens enjoy pushing them out of the way to look for worms.

Great product
I purchase these to keep the raccoons from digging up my recently planted bushes/plants.They dug them up 3 days after planting. Since putting these around the bushes the raccoons haven't bothered the bushes.

Pay a little extra and get a better product
I thought the material was going to be thicker and better quality. It needs to bring more stakes to keep the pads in place.

You get what you pay for
Very thin and cheap. I won't be buying them ever again

Protection ring from weeds (and it looks cool, too)!
Freshly planted trees need protection from lawnmowers, weed-eaters and even weeds. Tree mulch rings give you all of this and a clean, neat look. Functional, durable and cost effective.... so do yourself a favor and class up the yard!

Don't bother
They might work if you put mulch on top of them and nailed them down. But if not, a slight breeze will blow them away.

Use for new shrub plantings
Couldn’t find locally. These were just the right size, pass water and air and keep weeds etc away from new planting. Seem a little thicker than the usual rolled landscape fabric .

able to control weeds
placed them around my 6 crepe myrtle trees to control weeds. Very easy to install. Also keeps the soil around the trees from getting too dry.
