I don't have any of those problems with the legion mousepad. The pad is smooth so my hand and forearm slide across it with no noticeable impact on my mouse movements, and the pad is large enough to hang about 1/4 in of mousepad off the edge so that my forearm doesnt rub against the stitching. while I have no experience with higher end mousepads, for the $17 I paid, the XXL desk mat is larger than i'd ever need it to be and very comfortable to use. I can't speak to its durability because I haven't had it for very long but it has a very similar feel to the KTRIO mousepad, just better quality overall and slightly larger so it's probably fine.
