Amazing on location light for fighting against the sun.
Comes in a nifty bag and is bright enough to take on the sunsets I enjoy shooting with. I haven’t had much use yet but the last 3 weddings I’ve used it on it worked as it should and worked well. It’s small enough to bring along anywhere and with a decent light stand is very stable. I’m using a bigger 9’ stand so I can mount it on the godox bowens mount adapter. I use the mount so I can pair the flash with the 40” parabolic softbox. Recycle time is fast. Quality of light is great. Wireless capability is great with the Xt2 transmitter. High speed sync was flawless. Overall this is great flash for when you want to do a few creative shots keeping that sky exposed and the subject lit perfectly.

Innovative and flexible...
These are the third model of flash unit I have sourced from Godox. Like the AD360 and AD600 units before them, they offer high value technical innovations at very reasonable cost. My other Godox systems have proven reliable in use across two years, and I am expecting th same performance from the AD200s. Shot to shot colour consistency is within acceptable margins at the lower output levels I tend to use. I haven't checked above half power, yet. The battery is surprisingly good. I shot 600 frames, yesterday, between 1/128th and 1/64th power output, and the battery reported one third of its power remained available. I have two units, with one as a back up, and I shall buy extra batteries as these become available. If the AD200 units prove as reliable as the other Godox products, they'll become a classic, due to their brilliant portability and flexibility, combined with their excellent price point. If you already own Godox kit, the 200s offer even more economy by allowing the use of your existing modifiers and triggers. TTL and HSS work simply and reliably, using the X1 triggers, although HSS isn't something I would turn to the AD200 for, due to its modest poŵer output and the heat issues likely with its ultra compact design. The units are supplied in hard shell nylon cases, providing good protection. But my one niggle, here, is that the small swivel and tilt assemblies, necessary to fit the heads to stands, seem to be slotted in as an afterthought, with the potential to rattle around and strike the Pyrex dome of the bare-bulb. I have removed the swivel assemblies, and now keep them with the small lighting stands in a separate bag. All in all, the AD200 seems to be as good as I'd hoped. If it stands up to use, I will buy a third unit. My very first flash head was a clunky 200 watt seconds monolite, bought in 1981, for about the same price as the AD200, and still in working order. It is huge and inflexible, compared to anything in the Godox ranges. We've come a long way. Respect to Godox and their innovative design team.

AD200 Great Quality & Performance + Great Customer Service = Happy Customer!
A fantastic option for location/wedding photographers. I cannot recommend this unit enough. It performed flawlessly on every shoot I have taken it on for the past few weeks, and I'm already looking at getting another one! In this price range, I don't generally expect quality-built equipment, but Godox has been proven us wrong time and time again. The mounts on the sides of the flash are solid and don't give at all when the flash is mounted to a stand. The best of all for me is the battery, airports check my bag without fail, when I travel with the AD200, they haven't batted an eyelid yet. This is great for us phototravellers. The AD200 has both TTL and HSS support through the Godox trigger system. Both work flawlessly with my Nikon D750 and the Godox XT32n trigger. TTL is accurate, and the unit switches automatically to HSS when the shutter gets over 1/160. Should you guys be interested in purchasing this unit get it at EMGREAT-CA their customer service is top class! I am a happy customer and I will keep buying my gears from this store.

Great light
I love this little light. It has 3x the output of a standard speedlight, but its about the same size. Used with the Godoz S2 mount, softlighter and the bulb head makes for some very nice and even light. A big step up from speedlights. I use it with a few Godox TT685 on the wireless system and it all works very well together. Overall highly recommended.

Simply brilliant
You don’t get better value. Excellent performance in a small package. Comes with all you need except a trigger for your system. The carry case doesn’t have a handle but protects everything well. This has been round the world with me on a number of shoots and not had a problem at all. Battery also lasts an age. I personally use it with a Bowen’s adapter and a westcott octa and a beauty dish and get great results.
