Child Sleep Training Playful Puppy Bedtime Routine

All views shared are mine and mine alone.Recently, I was given the opportunity to review one of the Dream Team Pets with my girls, who are 3 and 4 yrs. old. This child's sleep aid couldn't have come at a better time as we have been trying to transition our youngest out of our eldest daughter's room and into her own big girl room. She has been reluctant due to supposed scary monsters in her room. As a result, either my husband or I have been sleeping with her until she falls asleep, and then we sneak out. Our oldest is seeing the extra cuddle time attention at bedtime her little sister is getting and has also started to fuss and fight to go to sleep, so that we will go in and sleep with her, too.Upon receiving the Dream Team Pet, we started by reading the cute little story, which comes as a hard cover book, and then followed up by showing them the certificate and gold stars they are to use to track their new pet's bedtime success. The girls loved the story and idea of having to train their pet to sleep through the night in order to receive a gold star. I, however, wasn't sure if a plush toy would actually help them to fall asleep and stay asleep, but after the few weeks of bedtime struggles, I was up for trying anything. And, to my surprise the Dream Team Pet worked.We gave the Dream Team Puppy to Bella (our yougest) to sleep with, and ended up picking up another Dream Team Pet the next day so that both girls could have one. We are now 2 weeks into having our Dream Team Pets, and they are trained, sleeping through the nights...and so are my girls. Who knew that a plush animal with a cute story, certificate and gold stars could solve our bedtime woes with our girls. We had tried everything up until receiving these bedtime friends, but nothing worked.I am so happy to have learned about Dream Team Pets and been given the opportunity to try out with my girls. Not only do they have cute cuddly pet to sleep with, but they are sleeping through the night and not needing my husband and I to cuddle with them, as there is no room in the bed anymore. :-)

Just a stuffed animal with a book. You can save yourself money and do this with any stuffed toy. Very disappointed.

Oh how I wish this had worked. My daughter liked the dog okay and sort of enjoyed the star system, but beyond the one-night novelty of it she didn’t seem to care much about “training” him. From a parent’s perspective, the dog itself seems kind of cheap, and while I guess it’s nice to have a little book and certificate, I feel like you’d do just as well to buy any other stuffed animal (or use one you already have) and create a star system for it to see if the concept even resonates with your child.

First off, this is just a plush dog with a book that contains just a few pages. It is designed to help a child develop sleeping habits, but it takes a lot of convincing to get the idea into your child's head. My children looked at me like I was crazy. In all fairness, neither of my children are wild on stuffed animals. I was hoping for a little more.

When our Dream Team Pet Doggie arrived, my son decided that this would be a perfect pet for his new little cousin James to go to sleep with. I couldn’t agree more. While at my sister-in-law’s house last week were discussing how he never wants to go to sleep. He’s afraid to miss something. However as we all know, many parents struggle getting their kids to bed. This cute little poochie comes with his own certificate of training.My son thought it was a good idea to have a certificate that comes with stickers (because you know Mom all kids love stickers) and then according to him helps you track training of your pet. I love that he is a great reader now. When I asked him what he thought about the idea of helping train your Dream Team Pet, but it really helps children have a friend and purpose to stay in bed, he responded that’s pretty tricky Mom, but I think it would work. Out of the mouths of babes!! My son also wanted me to tell readers that the Doggie Dream Team Pet is super cuddly and soft, especially his ears and tail.

I was so happy to receive one for a review. We chose the puppy cause he is so cute and we have a dog ourselves. My children are also dog lovers, lol. This is a super cute kit that contains the 10-inch tall, high-quality, super cuddly "Playful Puppy" character(he is also featured in the book as well), professionally illustrated book for a kids bedtime routine, anda Certificate of Training and stickers to reward the Pet (and the child) for a good night's sleep. This kit and idea was developed with the assistance of a pediatrician. I love that cause a pediatrician specializes in children and knows the struggles some children have with sleeping and waking through the night.The book is super cute and my children still read it nightly. It is well written and the pictures are vibrant and cute. The book teaches your child on how to train their pet and get a good nights sleep.I have a 9 year old and a 4 year old. My 4 year old fights me on going to bed sometimes and wakes up a lot through the night. This toy has helped her get a good nights sleep. She is excited to place a sticker on the certificate when her puppy(and her) sleep through the entire night. When she does occasionally wake up in the night, she has her puppy and it is easy for her to get back to sleep without getting out of bed to wake me. Its an awesome win-win situation for everyone. She feels great when her puppy(and her) accomplish their goal and mission. I love seeing her face in the morning so happy and pleased! It has also helped with the entire bedtime routine as well and preparing for bed. I never knew a plush toy, certificate, and gold stars would help with my little one sleeping. This product is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone that has a younger child struggling with sleeping on their own at night. My children share a bedroom and now my 9 year old even gets a better night sleep due to the toy working so well for my youngest!A great and inexpensive Holiday gift for a young one in your family!!!!
