Love it!
As someone who did keto 10 years ago, when options were much more slim, I've been thankful for Carbquik, then and now. I've recently started a healthier way of eating once again, not low carb or keto, but cutting out unnecessary carbs and sugar, etc. Today I made the biscuit recipe that comes on the box and was SO happy to eat them with my eggs for breakfast! Satisfied me all day at work. While I don't use it daily, it's a great way to "treat yourself" a couple times a week. So many ways to use it! Also love it for pizza crusts! As a self-proclaimed carb-itarian, I don't know if I could sustain a healthier eating lifestyle without it. It does contain seed oils, but other than that, the ingredients are pretty "clean". 5 stars!

A must have for bread loving low carb eaters!
Been using Carbquick for a couple of years now...should have reviewed long ago! Carbquick is a tastier and far easier way to get your bread fix than buying almond flour, coconut flour, flaxseed, etc. and combining them. Surprisingly it's also a little cheaper. But the big win is texture and flavor...almond flour, coconut flour and flaxseed breads tend to have a mushy, grainy texture that I don't love and I've never been able to get them to make a bread that tastes like bread. I modified the back-of-the-box recipe for cheese jalapeno biscuits and make a dozen every couple of weeks. It's great for sandwiches of all kinds but if it's something juicy (hamburgers) then put the meat on right before you eat it. These biscuits don't hold up as well to moisture as a standard biscuit. I toast them in an oversized toaster (a toaster oven would be better but me no gots that). If you're like me though once you've had them a few times you will prefer them over regular biscuits. My modifications: Size. Once everything is mixed and the right consistency, I pull out 5oz of dough (box recipe says 2oz) and fashion them into a ball. Then I compress them a little with 3 fingers for baking. This gives me a hamburger bun sized biscuit instead of silver dollar sized one. Corn Bread: I mix in a half bag of Miss Jones Keto Corn Bread Mix...that stuff is a little pricey at $16 per lbs. I also add about 20 drops of Sweet Corn Extract (available on Amazon). Other than that the recipe is the same...Carbquick, Half and Half, Butter, Jalapenos to taste and Cheddar Cheese (or Mexican Cheese), grated. Make sure you eat one right after you get them out of the oven with a generous slathering of butter!

Still testing!
My bisquits need some work but the pancakes are great. My grandkids live them.

My go-to for diabetic breakfast items.
As a type 2 diabetic, this has become my go-to for pancakes, cobblers, muffins, and biscuits for breakfast on the weekends. While not exactly the same in terms of density and flavor as the "real" stuff (which is loaded with carbs, so I can't have it anymore), this baking mix is a great facsimile that allows you to still enjoy things like pancakes and biscuits on a lower-carb diet. It is VERY forgiving in that you can add or subtract liquid to get your desired consistency. I tend to add half-and-half instead of heavy cream for the pancake recipe, and use a bit more of it (yes, that adds a few more grams of carbohydrates to the total, but it's totally worth it). I always keep a box on hand because it is so useful. Great for baking, but use a 1:1 keto flour for thickening things; this doesn't do so well at that.

Excellent product
Excellent for lazy man's keto-ish meals. Recipe: 4 Tbsp. Carbquik, 2 Tbsp your oil/fats, 2 lg. eggs, optionally add frutis and nuts. 2-3 min. in microwave. Option: top with Swerve "Brown Sugar" and brown under broiler 4-5 min. Serve.

need strong flavors to counter the weird taste of the Carbquik flour
Carbquik allows me to make some baked goods I can't otherwise make with non-wheat flours, but it has a slightly funky flavor. If I have strong enough flavors to counter it, it's ok. Plain biscuits or pancakes without some added strong spice aren't appealing. I've found nutmeg helps in pancakes. Cinnamon is good in rolls. If I'm making muffins, I have to add a lot more blueberries to compensate for the weird taste, and that's still a little iffy. I've also used it for dumplings in chicken soup. If the soup has enough flavor the dumplings' weird taste isn't as noticeable, but the texture isn't quite right for the dumplings. They don't hold up as well as traditional flour dumplings.

best keto day ever!!
update: pizza crust came out great! (i used the dough one from their website) and precooked it 5 mind before adding sauce/toppings and cooked another 7-10mins.. watch toward end of cooking, it suddenly crisps up the edges a bit too much in seconds it seems! changed to a Keto lifestyle for therapeutic purposes going on 9 months ago today and today was the best keto day ever!! okay i may be over exaggerating on that one but, it was still an awesome meal day that seemed like i ate the high carb Belgium waffle that i have missed so much especially when smelling the hubbyโs Saturday Belgium waffle ritual.. Followed recipe listed on here not on box BUT, used the new โSplenda naturals monk fruitโ for sugar AND added 8 drops of liquid ezsweetz sweetener as well. these came out PERFECT tasting, no aftertaste cause the liquid sweetener tends to rid of bitter/odd tastes in everything.. i set waffle maker on 5 1/2 and cooked waffle an extra minute after it beeped (i like mine more crispy). unlike listed on recipe, the batter does NOT make 6 Belgium waffles, unless they are talking about mini versions that is. it makes 2 large Belgium waffles only and netcarbs come out to 5 per waffle (using dairy pure heavy cream).. Iโve had 12 netcarbs all day (including these) My current BG is 123 (am usually in 80-90โs after eating) and my blood ketones is 1.2 (i was 1.8 beforehand). these numbers are an hour after eating and does include a tbps of aunt jamamaโs sugar free syrup that does tend to raise my BG some. i gather this mix does raise BG and lower ketones a little but, not enough to worry about it if you donโt use mix regularly i think. edit: 3hrs later BG down to 92/ketones 1.1...not too much damage was done by 1/2 & 1/8th cup of this carbquik for one waffle...yeaaa :) either-way, after avoiding this carbquik for months due to it being said it was not truly keto friendly and should be avoided, i am sooooo glad i finally gave in to my real tasting belgium waffle craving and bought this to make it with.. this is my new go too flour for breakfast goods that is for sure..

It is wonderful for less carbs in your diet.
We use this product on the Keto diet. It works just like Bisquick. It tastes the same; although it does have a bit less heavy texture; has way less carbs and is comparable when using it in a variety of recipes. ( there are recipes on the box). It is a bit pricey , but it is worth it to us. We've made pot pies; dumplings; cheese buns etc, and they all taste great! I would recommend this product if you are concerned about too many carbs in your diet. It was delivered the next day, in perfect condition.

KETO! Very useful!!
I gave this a 4 star just because it's not top end, just below. BUT it's very versatile. The pancakes you make with this actually taste like them, and even feel like them. The texture in your mouth. So that is enough for me. I like to make muffins, too. They taste okay, but you taste the salt in it more. Make sure you add vanilla flavoring, and perhaps a touch of vanilla protein powder.

Makes Great Keto Pancakes, Waffles, and Biscuits.
Makes Great Pancakes, Waffles, and Biscuits... but the dinner rolls and bun recipes all taste like fluffy Biscuits and are too flaky. Maybe it is me but I followed the recipes to the "T" I have yet to try others so fingers crossed. I want to try the McMuffin recipe for Hamburger buns... Pizza crust may be OK as well... It is a bit overpriced in my opinion but so is every other Keto product. I think for Bread it would be cheaper to just buy a $6 loaf of Keto Bread from the store because it takes 3 cups of this stuff to make a small loaf and that works out to more cost per loaf.

Glad I found this on Amazon!!!:)
I just learned about this product and living a low-carb lifestyle can be quite challenging at times, especially when it comes to missing pancakes on weekends and breads with soups. Here are some pros and cons of the product: **Cons:** It is relatively expensive for the amount you receive. Additionally, there is a bit of trial and error involved in adjusting the recipes to improve the texture, which can unfortunately lead to some waste. **Pros:** Even when the texture is slightly crumbly, the taste is quite decent and helps satisfy those carb cravings. I've noticed that many of the recipes lack a leavening agent. To improve the pancakes, I added a tablespoon of baking powder, two teaspoons of vanilla, and increased the liquid to achieve the right consistency. I also added baking powder to the cornbread I made, and while it was still a bit crumbly, it tasted fantastic when sprinkled over homemade turkey soup. Overall, I am very happy with this product and glad to have it available through Subscribe & Save. I'm looking forward to trying some buns and desserts with it in the future!
