That was my experience. It is especially slippery in downward dog and plank. I've had it for months and it still feels slippery. Other than that, I like the mat very much. **Q: Is this mat made in China?** A: Yes, says right on the packaging. **Q: How to clean the mat?** A: I haven't washed this one yet. But usually I wash my mats in the washer machine with a couple of towels on top so it doesn't float. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality yoga mat *by M***I on 25 February 2023* The mat has a good quality finish, amazing print and decent grip.
