I love Dream Cotton batting because its smooth finish lets it function almost as if it's a third layer of fabric in a quilt. It's easier to cut than other battings, and doesn't cling to my feed dogs when quilting.I am the founder of the Parkinson's Comfort Project (www.parkinsonscomfort.org). Our nonprofit provides donated, handmade lap quilts from generous quilters from around the country to people with Parkinson's disease. We know that these quilts are well-used, well-loved and laundered. Because of this, we know the importance of good quality, all-cotton batting in a quilt.At the expense of sounding like a TV commercial, when I make quilts for the Parkinson's Comfort Project, I use Dream Cotton because I know it makes a quilt that will last.

I've been quilting since 1976, and I've never ever found a better batting. It can be quilted up to eight inches apart without any nylon scrim. Nylon disintegrates after a couple of decades. I have 25 year old quilts with Quilter's Dream that are still soft and wonderful. I would never use anything else. You can keep those 80% cotton, 20% poly battings, they don't offer any advantages either. Quilter's Dream is my dream batting.

I was looking for a full size batting it was not available but this was fine, I just cut off the excess and used it for something else, so it all went to good use and I have been told by seasoned quilters that this is the batting to purchase and so far I have been happy with the outcome of my quilts and have not ended up with lumps and bumps when one needed to be washed and dried but I used a gentle cycle in the washer and delicate on the dryer.

I do not use or own a long arm machine, so I hand quilt or quilt on my home machine. This batting is awesome. I like the weight and feel of it and it works great. I will only use this from now on. Worth trying, you won’t regret it.
