Acrylics can be used on most surfaces. However, I'd advise priming the wood first, perhaps with gesso, to prevent the paint soaking straight into the wood. These paints are pretty thin without much pigment (they are pretty cheap and you get what you pay for!) so you'd need more than one coat. Also, most of them do not have colour-shifting properties. I was quite disappointed with them and would advise spending a bit more and getting better quality paints, but for me they are useful for creating glazes on the gel plate. **Q: Can they be used on plastic? Considering painting miniature figures with them** A: I would imagine so considering it is acrylic based, but I haven't tried on plastic only glass. **Q: Can this paint be used for magic marble effect? (I am planning to try and paint a guitar that way)** A: Not sure if that would work. Thinned mine down with water to paint a dollhouse.Brilliant result. **Q: I want to etch on glass can i use these to change the colour of the etch xx** A: I’ve bought these paints to use on glass also. Not used these yet. I’m not sure if you have to use a primer and top coat. ## Frequently Bought Together - ABEIER Iridescent Acrylic Paint, Set of 18 Chameleon Colours, 2 oz/60ml Bottles, Colour Shifting, Non-Toxic, High Viscosity, Blendable, Paints on Rocks Crafts Canvas Wood, Fabric, Ceramic & Stone - INK LAB Metallic Acrylic Paint Set 18 Colors Non Toxic Metallic Paints for Artists Beginners Painting on Rocks Crafts Canvas Fabric Wood, Rich Pigment & No Fading, 60ml/Bottle --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/334771022-abeier-iridescent-acrylic-paint-18-chameleon-colours-set-2-oz](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/334771022-abeier-iridescent-acrylic-paint-18-chameleon-colours-set-2-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
