McDonnells Curry Sauce 1L Tub 200g (7oz)

Delicious! Just like the curry sauce I love with the Irish chips at our local Irish restaurant. Easy to make - just add water and simmer a while. Perfect on French fries and fried chicken strips. This one's a winner. Tub makes a LOT, but you'll be happy you have that much once you taste it, and a little goes a long way. Not too spicy or hot - just the right amount of "kick it up a notch" flavor. Given the flavor and texture match, I'd not be surprised to find out that this is what our local Irish Pub/Restaurant uses for their authentic curry Irish chips and their Irish Spice Bag.

Great curry powder, very versatile . I used it with my Fish and Chips. So yummy tasted just like the curry sauce at my local chippy back in England.nice size can , decent spiciness, nice heat and decent price .

Greay flavor and well worth the money. Also very easy to make! Has a bit of spicy to it but really it's the perfect amount. The smell when you are making it is amazing and very comforting. Thickness is perfect for dipping or coating.

Good flavor. Consider calories (880 calories for container or 8 servings) and that it is a powder. I clearly did not read the product info when I ordered, because I missed both of these factors. But I will say the flavor is very good. Think chicken bouillon mixed with curry spice. I think the suggested 8oz of water per 1/3 cup of mix creates a thin sauce, so next time I will reduce the water. Again, good flavor and I am happy with the purchase. But important to know that you will have to mix with water and occasionally stir for 10 min while simmers on stove. And if watching calories, then may want to consider accordingly.

My local Irish pub made me mad enough that I didn't want to go back (long boring story about bad service). I mainly went there for the chips and curry sauce. Fortunately, their menu said the brand, and I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. It's a powder that you stir into water and then heat on the stovetop, which results in a thick dipping sauce that tastes amazing. It's very simple to cook and exactly what the pub used. Now I can have chips and curry sauce at home! Goes great with a double pour of Irish whiskey.
