I bought this for my anxious boy during the fireworks season the seem to start earlier and earlier each year. He is a rescue from Afghanistan and has a great fear of loud noises and will bark and run around the house scared all evening when the booms are happening. I was skeptical that a shirt would keep him calm and didn’t want to spend the big bucks on the name brand product. So I opted for this one and so glad I did! Shipping was quick and measurement chart was pretty accurate. The shirt is a little long but the Velcro is amazingly secure. Only drawback is the neck closure is a little funky with the fabric ring and not completely attached, but mine came with an extra ring so I’m not worried about this. Overall, completely satisfied with this product. The first night my doggo with the shirt he barked at the first three fireworks then went and laid in his bed and seemed to relax and not be bothered by the loud booming any longer!! I definitely was surprised I’m not going to lie…

Searched around for the right item to keep my dog from scratching his wound after cancer surgery. This worked perfect and he loved it. It must have given him comfort because he wanted to wear it.

It’s a great vest for my German Shepherd/hound mix. I had it for three weeks and then the top of it started to frayed. It does calm him down and he does like it.

One of my dogs didn't seem to mind this, the other froze right after I put it on them. The velcro also scared him. It fits a little weird. Around the neck it was a little big, but around the stomach fit ok. It was hard to put on. You would think it would be easier to put on the neck first, but it makes the body not fit right.

Our 5-year old German Shepherd is overcome with anxiety during thunderstorms. We placed the anxiety relief coat on him and he exhibited the same level of anxiety that is common during storms. Although the concept is sound, it didn't work for our dog.

I have a long hair GSD at about 70 pounds. Not a fan of T-Storms (seems to hear them at the 1000-mile marker). Beside cuddling with us (bed gets small when that happens), we found that wrapping her up with this coat works well, FOR US (the subjective part of the review). Not sure why the asked about warmth - this is rather light weight and wouldn't expect to be there for warmth (not sure I'd want this to be hot during the summer). The velcro connectors are AWESOME (3 men and a small boy to break them free). Was initially confused by the neck connectors and recommend looking at EVERYTHING before throwing away the 2 cloth rings (thinking it was part of the packaging).So, bottom line is this works well for us and sometimes I think she comes looking for the cuddle as soon as the first rumble is heard by her (who think dogs are dumb).

When I took it out of the package my dog knew it was for him, and was happy to try it on. I noticed within minutes he was VERY calm and wasn't bothered by all the racket in the neighborhood. I am hoping this works equally well for when all the fireworks start up. Normally he loves watching them, but last year our neighborhood sounded like a war zone and it upset him a great deal. Fingers crossed.

I just received the jacket and will have to wait for a thunderstorm to see if it works. The jacket is of fine quality with extra wide and heavy-duty velcro. I purchased XL for my Border Collie who weighs about 75lbs. The jacket could have been a little larger however it fits and should be snug.

I purchased two of these for my sister's dogs. The excellent quality and ease of fitting have impressed my sister. The dogs have worn them recently for a thunderstorm and it calmed them both. Previously they had to be held until the storm was over.
