Side sleepers rejoice!
So I have used this for 2 camping trips already in the steamy Midwest summer. I am a side sleeper. I have 2 other sleeping mats that are foam and self inflating that work great if you sleep only on your back. But I sleep on my side at home. And on those other 2, I wake up in the middle of the night like 4 times on my side and my arm completely asleep. So I bough this. Easy to inflate once I realized I had to have my foot actually over the intake hole when pushing down... Pillow is a good size, wish it was taller since I use 2 pillows at home. BUT.. I was able to sleep on this perfectly. Unlike the self inflating adventure ridge pad I have, I couldn't feel the hard ground with my shoulder. In fact its tall enough that I didn't feel any hard surface.I used this on a 4 mile backpacking trip with scouts and it fits nicely in the bottom of the bag and light weight. Since it was 90 degrees at night, I didn't get to see how a sleeping bag stays put on it. But with a bed sheet, the vinyl its made of didn't get my back or side all hot and sticky. I am planning in getting my son one now too since the foam pad he has weighs about the same but is huge and was bumping into trees on our hike.

Not as thick as advertised
I ordered this for the thickness - advertised 4". When I opened it up and looked at the brochure inside, it stated the mattress was only 2.8". After inflating it, 2.8" is more accurate. When inflated, it was comfortable enough, though, even for side sleeping, and it is very long and wide. It only weighs 1 lb. 13 oz, which is pretty light, especially for the large size. The pillow is inflated with the rest of the mat, so there is no way to adjust the depth of the pillow. For the price, it seems like a keeper even though it isn't as thick as advertised.

So far so good; worth the price.
Product was delivered on time, so points for that. The sleeping mat and bag are fairly lightweight which is exactly what I was looking for. I plan on doing a lot of camping this summer and was hoping this would be good for backpacking as well.Once opened and out of the bag I was a little hesitant on the material. I didn’t think it would hold up, so I blew the mattress pad up and laid on it for some time. Deflated it for a few hours, then inflated it once more. My partner and I took turns laying on it and no issues. We’re both side sleepers and wanted something that wouldn’t hurt our sides when sleeping .When FULLY inflated you can’t feel the ground below you which is awesome. Stayed fully inflated and didn’t lose any air as we tested it out.A little squeaky, but not as bad as other products I’ve tried. The real test of time will come in two weeks when we take it out camping with the dog. Will update review then.Easy to deflate and fit back inside the bag it came in.My only real qualm was that it does take awhile to inflate. I stepped on the self-inflating thing about 50+ times to fully inflate it. I mean better than blowing into it or bringing a pump, but still.Worth the price so far.

Unhelpful Instructions / Comfortable once you figure it out
I used this twice on a camping trip (both campsites on decks) and felt like it never fully inflated so as a side-sleeper, my hips were hitting the ground and it was not comfy. I got home and gave it another trial run on my hardwood floors before writing this review. Now I know what happened. I have a 2-person tent and this mat touches both ends of the tent so it was impossible to stand and inflate so I used my hand on the foot pump instead. Now that I'm home, I'm realizing with my foot I could press a little bit more air in which made all the difference. It took a couple minutes of pumping for me to fully inflate. I wish I'd written down the tips from the Amazon reviews before I was out with no cell service. The provided instructions were pretty terrible. So to recap: You'll want a place you can stand up with firm ground. Fully close the valve on the corner (which is the pillow) and then fully open the valve centered on a cushion piece (bottom of the pad). Place your foot over the open valve and pump up & down with your foot. Close the valve tightly and do a check. If you can press down with your hand and get to the ground, needs more air.The pillow section is a little too robust for me and I kinda wish I'd just gotten a mat without the pillow which would have left me a bit more wiggle room length-wise in the tent so my head wasn't pressed against the side of the tent.I did not receive any patch kit pieces as an FYI.I'm not a hardcore camper and now that I've figured out how to use it properly, it is a convenient (packed) size to bring along for car camping.
