Outdoor Technology OT2800-B Turtle Shell 3.0 - Rugged Waterproof True Wireless Bluetooth Hi-Fi Speaker, Black, One Size

After owning the 2.0 for 2 years, I was looking forward to an upgrade for the summer 2017 festival season. All in all, I have been very underwhelmed with the performance of their new iteration.Pros:-Multiple 3.0's can now be daisy chained (not with an older versions though)-Can now float on water (2.0 was just water proof)-Generally louder than the 2.0-Great battery lifeCons-Port covers have already come of the speaker (did not happen with the 2.0)-Increasing volume form 75% to 100% has little to no effect-Does not always charge when plugged in-Dirt/Sand gets trapped inside the speaker very easily-Bass is distorted at any volume above 50%-Bluetooth connection is extremely unreliable, keeps disconnecting , especially in comparison to the 2.0 which has great rangeOverall I DO NOT recommend the 3.0. But I would happily recommend the 2.0 even though it is a smaller and quieter speaker.I had considered buying the Large Turtle Shell speaker but am now unlikely to.

I was underwhelmed by the sound but lived with it but when i actually needed it in power outage to charge phone and break the silence with some music it was dead. Ok maybe my bad that it wasnt as charged as i thought last time i used it but no….even after getting power i can not charge it. It is fubarred no power no sound and a waste of money

Bought one because my big shells charge port broke and thought this was like big turtle shell 3.0. My little speaker randomly turns off. If my phone charges while playing at same time it overheats than turns off and when I try to turn on it will start gargling. Idk if i havent charged it enough or if its because i charge my phone but battery only lasts for 4-5hrs.

This speaker is small but it sounds amazing.
