Worked great to hold a skimmer above the waterline to catch debris automatically

Easy to install as long as your ladder is 1.9"
The media could not be loaded. My ladder isn't of sufficient girth for this device to mount so I rolled my own solution. I created an extended arm mount using an old skimmer mount arm and bolted this skimmer holder to it. It works very well and holds the skimmer net in place. This mount has a slit cutout where your net's pin goes in to keep it from rotating due to the water current. I have been running this a couple of days on my above ground pool and this solution really does help remove floating debris that doesn't make it into the suction skimmer basket.

Highly recommend
This item does a great job. We have a lot of oaks and pine trees in our yard and keeping the pool skimmed in the spring has been a huge chore. This has help ease that chore

Didn't work at all for me
I'm a little mystified by all the positive reviews here. I installed this and then watched as all the debris on the surface of my pool simply floated around the net. There may be some magic combination of current speed or distance from pump or something, but whatever it is, I don't seem to have it. I'm sending this back today.

Works great- make your own holder
Works great. Get a 1.50” sch 40 pvc pipe, drill hole into the 1.50” pipe for the 3/4” sch 40 pipe to slide into. Slide 3/4” pipe through the hole. Attach large side of clip to 1.50” pipe then attach pool net pipe to smaller clip side. Place in pool, put weights on 3/4” pipe to hold in place.

Works well, but could be longer.
I have to put it at an angle in order to get it to fit when connecting to the pool ladder. Would be better if it was a little bit longer.

Pops off all the time
When it holds, it does a nice job collecting debris. But it very often pops off and joins the debris for a float around the pool.

Amazing money/time saver
My amazing pool girl Ami turned me on to this little inexpensive clip that attaches your regular skimming net to a ladder. At the time, I was ready to pull the trigger on a top-of-line robot as we have so many trees around the pool. While the trees are nice, keeping pool clean has been a daily chore. I installed this clip in August of 2022 and in brutal honesty have not had to skim my pool since. On a very windy day, while not necessary, I may go out and help out knowing the debris will fill the net while I may be away. The nice thing is that it grabs all the surface material before it sinks to the bottom, greatly reducing the frequency or need to "rake" or vacuum. My suction side cleaner has no issues. A couple notes - for this to work well, it's important to adjust your pool water jets in such a way to create a circular current. If your jets are not adjustable, most nozzles can easily be replaced with inexpensive adjustable direction nozzles. If you don't have a ladder, and if you're a little handy, one could easily fashion a holder out of PVC pipe that could be ankered on the side of the pool. As an aside, my buddy next door has the robot. And while all pools situations are different, this keeps our pool cleaner than his robot does with a fraction of the hassle. He tells me that all the time!
