OX Tuff Carbon - Marking Pencil

Good pencil but does not last as used it for about a month then the shell of it got a hair line crack in it making the pencil no good as when you try to press lead out the full silver sleeve comes out, tried glueing it back in but still comes out.Update I contacted OX Tools direct and they sent me a replacement free of charge. This one has seem to have been fine so it may have just been a weak unit.

I do a fair bit of DIY on our home and have always got the odd little pencil in the vast amount of tools that I have amassed over the years, however they are always blunt, snapped, or just a bit of a let down. I ‘treated’ myself to this marking pencil so that I had something that I wasn’t going to lose (like I seemed to do very often) with my other pencil nubs. For such a simple idea the pencil is very well made, marks well on most surfaces and comes with some nice features for such a small tool. The in-built pencil sharpener is very hand that sits in the holder and the belt clip is great as it stops me from losing it when shuffling about working on the house. It might seem like that tool that you don’t need and feel is an unnecessary expense but I genuinely would advise anyone to buy it and use them as they are great!

Item is great however discription mentioned additional refills however you don't get any additional fills this is not clear you can get a more cost effective one elsewhere with refills if it was clear notwithstanding this it's a great pencil

I bought one of these about 6 months ago, it worked well but then the button stopped working making it impossible to dispense the lead. Similarly, because the button was broken the lead would just retract back into the pen when used rendering it completely useless. Thinking I might have had a dud one, I bought another one (having already invested in replacement leads) and it didn't even take a week for the exact same thing happen again.It is absolutely disgraceful that it is still being sold as many, many others have had the same issue with them...

Had loads of different, lesser named versions of these. This one is by far the best one. Robust!

Just the thing for marking out,with a sharpener and holder included. Keeps safe and secure on the tool belt. Time will tell, but great so far and cheaper than some of the others

Just brought 2nd one of these, lasting me a year on average till the mechanism starts to fail.Can't complain when it's under £10.
