The North Face Women's Borealis Commuter Laptop Backpack, TNF Black/TNF White, One Size

I got this for my daugher to take to dual enrollment classes at a local college. It has a little more space than the Jester, which was too skinny if she needed to take more than just a few things. This one seems a little better quality, although the other one is really nice quality too. It fits her laptop, cord, headphones, calculator, notebooks, lunch, and some other things, with some space leftover. She also keeps a waterbottle in one outside pocket and can put an umbrella in the other, but that fits in the bag too. I like that the side pockets are adjustable with a cord. I also like that there is one sturdy handle on the top to pick up the bag, rather than two of them on the Jester, which makes no sense to me and kind of gets in the way of the zipper. The black is really nice and sleek looking too.

My daughter wanted a North Face backpack for this school year. Apparently they’re the thing to have this year. We had to do some research on sizing to make sure it would accommodate her Chromebook and binders - several models vary depending on sub-model. But this one has the perfect storage capacity for the average middle school student. The quality of the material was surprisingly robust. And it cleans up easily too.

This backpack is really cute and I’m going to use it for many years I hope because of how versatile it looks and it’s aesthetically pleasing to look at. I was expecting it to be a certain way and it definitely meets my standards. I only have had it for a day so I can’t say much but I will update this if I have any problems. So far it looks good quality and stores things well but the front pocket zippers won’t really go all the way don’t so you have to reach but I like the adjustable straps so you can choose the length. One thing I have to add is that there are multiple versions so this one is a women’s one so it’s a bit smaller than the men’s one I didn’t know that when I bought it but it doesn’t bother me because I like the size.

This backpack is very well made and great for everyday use. It feels strong and durable but not too heavy. The size is perfect for commuting, school or work, and it fits all the basics easily. There are plenty of pockets to stay organized, including space for a laptop and smaller items. The straps are comfortable and don’t dig into your shoulders, even when the bag is full. It also sits nicely on the back and doesn’t feel bulky. The design is simple and clean and it goes with everything. Overall, this is a reliable backpack with good quality, and it’s worth the price. I would definitely recommend it.

I love the look of the backpack it is super well made, like very well made built to last. It is not very roomy if you’re wanting to use it to pack clothes to spend the week somewhere. I would stick to just very slim items. I believe it is waterproof when I was packing things I got some lotion on it and it wipes right off. No stains. The padding on the back is really thick so that’s good if you’re into that. I’m using this for college so I know for sure it will fit everything I’ll need for class in it. But I also want to use it for work, I pack my laptop iPad and two pouches with different things mainly girl stuff, chargers, and my beats headphone in their case. It barely can fit just that because they’re different size pouches. BUT if you stick to slim items you can fit more. It is a top heavy backpack because the zippers don’t zip all the way down the sides but that’s fine for what I’m using it for I don’t mind them not zipping all the way down. The straps on it are sturdy, you can clean up the appearance of the extra straps dangling by just rolling them up and stuffing them into near by loops. That is what I learned from my boyfriend lol. It looks a lot more neat. It is a very nice backpack in my opinion, not ideal for packing many different shaped items. But can definitely fit more of the items are similarly shaped and relatively slim. I give it a 4/5 stars. Not completely perfect because of not fitting something’s but really nice regardless.

I’ve gone through my fair share of backpacks over the years, but this North Face pack is hands-down one of the best I’ve owned. I originally bought it for work travel and weekend hikes, but it’s quickly become my go-to for just about everything—commuting, flying, even short camping trips. The build quality is outstanding. The zippers are sturdy, the material feels durable yet lightweight, and the stitching holds up even when it’s fully packed. I’ve been caught in light rain and everything inside stayed dry, which is a huge plus. Comfort-wise, the padded shoulder straps and breathable back panel make a big difference when you’re wearing it for hours. There’s also a padded laptop sleeve that fits my 15" MacBook perfectly and keeps it secure. Storage is super smart, too. There’s a good balance between compartments and open space—you can easily organize electronics, chargers, water bottles, and still have room for clothes or gear. If you're on the fence, don’t be. It’s not the cheapest bag out there, but the quality and versatility are absolutely worth it. North Face nailed it with this one.

I got the lavender fog with black accents and its SO PERFECT. It was like christmas when I got this bag. I have wider shoulder, 5’2” and 110lbs, and this bag wasnt at all too big. I am a bag and backpack fanatic. All the details in the construction of the borealis is really well thought out down to the zippers and how you access your things. The only edit I would make, and this is so tiny, is that the keyring be on the left side where it zips up. Thats it. Very happy and this is just the right price for the value. Backpacks are just not made well these days. Thats why The North Face is still in business! They didnt compromise on quality.

Ok backpack for someone that doesn't need to carry much. For the price its definitely not worth it. High school daughter had it for 5 months before deciding she didn't care about the brand name afterall because it was such a hassle daily to fit her books and supplies in it. The smaller outter pockets when used stick out while the entirety of the backpack remains fairly narrow creating this odd fat on top skinny bottom look which also means it's very top heavy and doesn't sit up right when full. She chose a different much cheaper very well known brand instead and is much happier with it. We sold this as a diaper bag to a young lady for pennies in comparison to the highway robbery cost of it new. In good conscious we could not rob this woman of her money for something that is not made to carry more than some diapers, a few teething rings and a small blanket. I did give it 3 stars only because the durability is decent. With a chromebook, 2 text books and a notebook it looked like it would bust at any moment and the zipper had to be forced closed. In the five months she did use it it did hold up. So there is that. Perfect as a diaper bag or for a small child that doesn't carry much but still too expensive new for either uses. Will not buy again

Made a mistake on this one. Our daughter really wanted a NorthFace backpack. She's in grade 8 this year, and this backpack is way to small for her needs. It's also very clumsy, and doesn't stand up well when I'm trying to pack it in the morning. Water bottle sleeve barely fits her water bottle. I should have sent it back. It's more for a child in a primary grade that carry's no books, or laptop.

Muy satisfecha tanto con la mochila como tal como con el vendedor; llegó un día antes de lo esperado. La mochila en cuestión - The North Face - Borealis (beige) cubre sin excepción mis altas expectativas. La calidad es evidente a la vista y al tacto. La utilizo cada día para llevar libros, agendas, estuches, además del ordenador. Es cómoda a la espalda y sobre todo a los hombros, especialmente diseñada para el cuerpo de una mujer. Tiene gran capacidad sin resultar demasiado grande para una persona de 1.63m como es mi caso. Material exterior e interior, refuerzo inferior, así como respaldo, asas, amarres y cremalleras de gran calidad también. El amarre frontal superior tiene un silbato que resultará de ayuda si se utiliza para excursionismo/senderismo. Cuenta con un compartimento, forrado en polar, para portátil en el que entra un Acer E5-573 (38cm x 25.5cm). Cabe justo, lo que puede restar flexibilidad a la mochila en sí pero no deja de ser cómoda. En el segundo boso, hay compartimentos para diferentes objetos más pequeños entre los que destaca uno forrado también para tablet en el que cabe un iPad2 con su funda y otro con cierre de cremallera. En el bolsito frontal superior más pequeño caben sin problemas móvil, llaves y cartera, también esta forrado. En los laterales tiene también dos bolsitos de malla en los que caben botellas y paraguas plegables. El diseño es bastante elegante para una mochila de estas características. Con el logo bordado en un beige brillante y las cremalleras de un color cremado rosado muy bonito. Excelente relación calidad-precio al haberla encontrado con un precio reducido a 70€. Artículo y vendedor altamente recomendables.
