Maxpow Rear Liftgate Cylinder Hatch Lift Supports Struts Shocks 2pcs 4218 Compatible With Cherokee 1995 1996

I have a '96 Jeep Cherokee that had dead struts for the lift, so getting anything out of the rear of the truck was an adventure in head wounds. I looked at different struts, and these seemed like the best bang for my buck and I was very satisfied with the results.They were very easy to install, and worked better than I had hoped for. The lift gate is practically self opening now! I think the vehicle will die before these struts do.

The items arrived - I thought the box was a bit big for what was sent but no biggie. I was able install myself; they second one was easier as I figured out best way to install from the first one. Seem pretty strong; liftgate pretty much goes up by itself once you get it started. I would recommend either a long board or a patient person to hold the liftgate up while removing and installing. I did it with neither and it was a bit of a challenge.

I installed a month ago and worked for a week only. They’re loose like my older ones. Cheap but bad quality or maybe just bad luck. Tried to contact the seller first but didn’t have an answer now the window return is closed. Don’t waste your time and your money buying this product. In the picture you can see the strut should be extended.

If your hatch struts are out these are a great fit. Found a pair of a beat up jeep for 5 dollars at pull a part also so if youre looking for a cheaper option junk yard is the way to go

So far so good. Easy to install, fit perfect. Probably has more lift that the original and definitely more than the last brand I had that lasted a year.

These were good replacements for my Jeep at first, in fact almost difficult to close. They claim to be like OE, but my OE lasted 20 years these have failed within 2 1/2.
